Maybe it was just me but Bellew looked momentarily quite scared when after he retaliated with the butt, Stevenson went after him! He had a look in his eyes which gave the impression of oh shit that wasnt a wise move.

the bloody advert lasts longer than the interview! Heard it all before from Bellew, I'm prepared to die in the ring etc his words mean nothing until he produces something.

Time will tell. I agree with you though. This seems to happen in every Bellew fight. I'm not a fan of him at all.

Bellew has a bully's mentality - during the fight if he is on top he is ok but doesn't like it if is the other way round.

Also all this bluster and "I am prepared to die in the ring" rubbish is not a sign of self confidence but of somebody who deep down is insecure and is trying to convince himself.

Tony Bellew is a top man.

He knows exactly to get his opponent wound up in the lead up to the fight, so I dont blame him one bit for his antics.

If Stevenson doesnt do Bellew early which could easily happen then it could be very interesting.

I agree if Bellew can just keep the fight at range, and stay out of trouble in the early rounds.
Bellew could end up stopping Stevenson later on.

Really looking forward to this fight :box:

Come on Tony lad :TU:

Hopefully now Tony walks the walk because Stevenson will be looking to take his head off after the weigh in fracas.

I agree. Tony needs to box long and stay out of the way - problem is I think he will try to trade and therein will be his downfall.

I hope I am wrong but I can see this fight finishing very early.

i think he gets himself wound up more , he couldnt bully Clev and he cant bully this man whos on top of his game.

Tony may start of ok but as the fight wears on i see nothing but a gradual beatdown , maybe down a couple of times and towel thrown in around 8th

followed by " i would have kept fighting till they carried me out in stretcher chat"

Yeah keeping it long for 12 without getting caught will be a tall order. Tough night for Tony!

looking forward to a big performance from bellew. I don't like his prefight talk and I think a lot of scousers in boxing and in show business are attention seekers and over emotional. (the smith brothers, by contrast, usually show a lot of class).

bellew brings height and power and solid boxing skills. like Sergio Martinez, perhaps Stevenson will suffer issues vs tall british fighters with good, straight up skills. Stevenson, too, is compact and moved up in weight, in his '30s, basically for the opportunity to fight for a title when kept waiting as a mandatory. (Stevenson waited for froch, who fought Kessler; Martinez waited for Vernon forrest, who had 2 fights with mora.)

bellew gave cleverly a good fight, for the WBO title. one of the better all british fights we've seen. it was hard to split the two. cleverly didn't seem to improve one bit from that fight. bellew won the eliminator, at 2nd attempt, for the WBC and perhaps he is adding to his game.

Stevenson is quite old and does need to get warmed up in the first few rounds. he still picks his shots brilliantly and is dangerous early (destroying dawson in one, hurting cloud's eye in the first). when he gets in his rhythm he has amazing accuracy. bellew must try and do something early, without getting caught vs a southpaw with excellent skills both defensively and offensively. I just hope for a really good fight but expect Stevenson, whom I really rate, to win. if bellew gets hurt I hope he produces some really hard rallies with straight, dangerous shots.

why do ppl keep calling Stevenson v Donovan George a war and a tough fight? George took quite a nasty, drawn out beating. he retaliated when he could but his own toughness ensured he took much punishment with his boxing lesson.

bellew did suddenly look quite passive.

kind of like paddy considine trying to look tough in ROOM FOR ROMEO brass when the kid's dad went after him. putting his hand up after they were separated.

bellew probably just looked that way. he seems up for it.

The nightmare continues for a victim of boxer Adonis Stevenson

Beaten, humiliated and forced into prostitution, Roxanne will never forget the 10 months she spent under the yoke of boxer Adonis Stevenson and his cronies, when she was only 17.

"When I look at his fights, I dream of the day when he I am stronger than him. I dream that feel what I felt when he beat me, "she reflects.

Even today, almost 15 years after his nightmare, Roxanne still does not understand how she found the strength to escape.

"I thought if I stay I die, if I'm off, I die. As well try to live away from them, "she reflects, sitting in her sofa, legs folded, eyes shining.

4 years in prison

After saved, Roxanne has everything unpacked to the police. Without it, there would be no trial. It is the key to the arrest in Montreal in autumn 1998 the boxer and his associates of the escort agency Obsession for which she and the other girls working.

Some 32 charges were filed against them, procuring, death threats and assault.

A trial was held. Four daughters testified, including Roxanne.

Stevenson was given a sentence of four years in prison. Others were also behind bars.

Since Adonis Stevenson resumed his boxing career and climbed the ladder to fame. Tomorrow, the heavyweight champion of the WBC also defend his title against Tony Bellew at the Pepsi Coliseum in Québec.

Bride and four children

For its part, Roxanne has four children aged three to 11 years and has been married for four years. She lives in Montreal and she has a job she loves.

She is in a relationship with the same man for over ten years, his childhood sweetheart. The one she had before sinking into hell that he did live Stevenson and his friends. That she fell in love with one of the gang members and made him promises. It was nothing. She worked seven days a week as an escort or dancer and she handed all his money gang.

Today, her husband is his rampart, one she feels safe. Because even now, even went to 33, Roxanne still has nightmares.

"I dream they catch me and they show me," she said.

She still sleeps with a night light and the door of his house is still barred. She panics when a car passes too slowly near her. When the phone rings and the person on the phone takes too much time talking, she is afraid. She is afraid that those that have denounced the found.

"No bill is in my name. I also use only one of my two surnames, the less they know, "she said. When she sees someone who looks like Adonis or any of the other kidnappers, she freezes.

She finds it hard. Because it was too beaten, Roxanne has no more smell.

"I was telling myself that I must move on, whenever my children bring me a flower, I can not feel it. I think of [my past] automatically, "says she. When she looks in the mirror, she also sees the scars left by the tip of a knife or a cigarette burn.

Two weeks before escaping, she was even forced to fight against another girl in a boxing match, because they had spoken to kill Adonis and Fox, the leader of the gang. During those two weeks, she was repeatedly beaten with fists, shoes, and that she can never erase from his memory.

"ABUSERS WILL ALWAYS DO BETTER"
That Roxanne is unfair is to have to fight every day to live and survive even when Adonis Stevenson is acclaimed by the public.

"As they say, abusers will always fare better than abused," she says bitterly.

"Whenever Stevenson made the headlines, I feel bad, I heats, while rises to the surface [...] But the people, it does not bother them, and they say he has paid his debt to society and they want the adulation. For them, it is the past. Sometimes I want to say that for me it is not, "she said.

For its part, Adonis Stevenson regrets what he did, according to his agent, Yvon Michel. He explains Adonis Stevenson had no father and he found his models in the street.

"Whenever he talked to someone, he expressed regret that he made mistakes, he was taken in hand. He never tried to shirk or diminish [what he did], "he said.

It also describes the life of Stevenson "good story" is that of someone who has repented after understanding the difference between right and wrong.

Keep hope

Despite his frustrations, even with his psychological and physical scars, Roxanne did find some serenity time.

It also encourages girls to live what she experienced to do anything to get out: there is hope.

Have saved allowed him to make a living. Today, for the world it would happen joys that he supported his family. By cons, if there is one thing she has promised to do is prevent her brood that all is not rosy out.

"I want to protect them, especially my daughter. I do not want her to be naive as I have been. "
