That's got to be embarassing for Ashley Cole.
Ashley Cole doesn't get embarrassed about anything his brain isnt developed enough.

What level do you think a boxing (auto)biography of a guy like Curtis should be pitched at to shift as many copies as possible?
If you were viewing it purely as a business proposition and just looking to shift units rather than create something that is regarded a great work, then you clearly have to pitch it mass market. You'd have a marketing campaign leveraging the football background, the fights, the 'troubled' personal life etc. you'd then look to leverage the news angle of the twitter story to capture the broader public's attention. Finally, you'd look to strike a serialisation deal with one of the tabloids, both to create a separate revenue stream and to build broader awareness of the book.
However, this isn't the route I'd advocate

From studs to thuds??

From ritches to rags?

Throwing stones from woodhouse's!

Curtis has a good story, but I'm more interested in his 2014 calender :P

I really hope woodhouse wins the british title.

he'll go down as a proper warrior if he wins a championship following those thrilling defeats to gavin, Matthews and miles.

he can take an example out of Derry's book, be positive, learn what you can after a defeat, find your true weight class and spring a surprise.

never saw the woodhouse-miles fight, heard it was amazing & I've never forgiven my friends for letting me down because I ended up not going and apparently really missed a belter.

his fight with bull was one of the outstanding battles in Doncaster, after Jamie McDonnell v jamoye, hall & ceja and johanesson v gomez.

woodhouse reminds me of carl johanesson in punch delivery & stance.

thanks pal, im in fantastic physical condition for this fight but more important im really relaxed about it, just going to go out and put it all on the line, in the past ive built things up in my mind to be bigger than what they are and its hindered me, this time ive relaxed and enjoyed my training, no pressure on me at all, hope you all enjoy the fight and ill be on here after to chat with you all

I actually think this book would do well. The Premier League to boxing link along with the twitter troll hunt make it a unique story. There are plenty down here in Birmingham that would buy the book due to your time at Birmingham & fighting Bluenose Frankie Gavin.

There is nobody else I can think of that can tell a similar story.

apparently boxing books don't sell very well. but if Curtis wins the british title, it's a great story that we've enjoyed watching unfold.

what's Darren Hamilton like? what kind of style?

hope you win, Curtis, and that hull show looks a must-see with McDonnell's british title shot also creating anticipation.

has the gavin fight ever been showed in its entirety? was the full coverage suppressed to make gavin look better, to obscure the fact that woodhouse may have outworked him? or was it reasons of space (it was a big show with, on paper, 4 fights that were headliners in their own right)? whatever, a shame because from the footage it looked a superb contest, a wonderful contrast of styles.

Curtis,
Any chance of slightly altering your views on Unlicensed/ semi pro boxing, if as i believe will happen, that one of my former boxers wins the lonsdale belt in hull, he should be walking into the changing rooms with his belt just as you leave to challenge for your own. :OhYes:

I,ll be rooting for Curtis all the way but fear that Hamilton might just be a bit too wiley for him and could stop him in the later rounds,Hamiltons an underrated fighter in this country and is very clever so i feel he might just be too smart for Woodhouse but i hoping im way off the mark and Curtis is inspired to pull of what would be one of my favourite domestic wins ever

C,mon Curtis we,re all behind you mate :box:
