That wasn't predictable was it?

Nor imaginative..
I love Larry too so no dissing him. Watched his fight with Holyfield last night. What a great performance considering his best had passed 10 years before....

Holmes was a great fighter, and as far as I can tell a nice guy, who took no pleasure in the manner of his win over Ali. One of only a few who even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence.

I like Holmes too, but he is the definition of a grouchy curmudgeon at times....lol.

There is a word for you.....but it may not have been found yet.
Bold, Honest, Accurate, Correct..........etc.
Well, yes, and I of course appreciate your admiration.
But yet....as good as you may believe my language skills can be, I am still striving to find the work that accurately captures your spirit. "Insidious" is my best offering this far, but I'm searching the unabridged English handbook in my continued quest.
Should I discover it, I will report at some unspecified time in the future.

His ability to absorb punishment, may well be another trait that few others could equal much less surpass. But that alone could not get him past Larry at this point in his degrading skill level. Which by this time was about where Larry was at when Butterbean floored him.

Agreed.
Though I don't think Clay would've ever beaten Holmes. Well, not in legit fashion.

No need for hyperbole. Clay was a badass. In the ring.

By this time he was going by the name Muhammad Ali

He didn't handle himself well in the press at times, but he has a good reputation with many. My point was to defuse a little the attempt to set up a false dichotomy between Holmes and Ali - plenty of people who like Ali also like Holmes, and Holmes shed tears over the beating which Duce and his sock puppet are taking such pleasure in. Much the bigger man, evidently.

Someone is a little too sensitive.
Clay was a bad person. Holmes was the better man. I'm sorry this hurts you.
No need to attack other posters who disagree with your worshipping. I still have respect for you, just not your lifestyle.

You don't pay much attention to detail.
Idol worship can be blinding.

Calling Ali "Clay" all these years after his legacy has been established, and 50 years after he's changed his name. Just shows what an unbelievably stupid and insulting human being you are.
Is your hate specifically for Ali? Would you still refer to Matthew Saad Muhammad as Matthew Franklin? Dwight Muhammad Qawi as Dwight Braxton? Rocky Graziano as Rocco Barbella? Sugar Ray Robinson as Walker Smith Jr.?
Or do you even know who any of those guys are?

It's a poor attempt at trying to incite a response. I'm not a big Ali fan but these conspiracy theories are boring and pointless. We can all rip apart any ATG fighters resume if we wanted. I honestly can't believe people have the time/interest to sit on a computer all day churning out the same old stuff.

I will not engage with you if you can't show me respect. You are an angry person, who maybe one day can find peace.
Similar to Clay in that respect.

Great entertainer and personality when his hatred didn't get in the way.
Often when there was a camera on him.
