But it just seems like huge amounts of tickets are getting into the hands of these arseholes before they actually go on sale to the general public and the only way that can happen is if authorised by the promotor or the venue.
Yeah but the promoter gets guaranteed sales then! The touts are the ones taking the risks. Cant see anything changing.
Obviously the promotor doesn't care but my point is more that the genuine fans are constantly missing out.

How could you stop it? Many have tried, and failed. The favourite is paperless ticketing, where you produce your id and credit card used in booking and they admit your party. Seat wave and Viagogo simply arrange a meeting place near the venue and give you the buyers phone number and you walk in together. You could be paid a grand to go watch, or leave if you don't like it. Another effort was to send a barcode to your mobile phone, hundreds of crap payg phones with the barcode on popped up on eBay!
Glastonbury dealt with the touts pretty effectively. You now have your face on the ticket. It's a nightmare to get one though, and I haven't been able to get one for 3 years :witzend:
How much you gonna sell that extra ticket for mate? haha

Glastonbury are the only ones to have cracked it. It's like applying for a passport though and if you're ill or something else, nobody else can go.

Same process for the Ryder Cup. Well it was at Celtic Manor anyway

Blame See Tickets. They are poor. None of that rubbish with Ticketmaster.

You mean the touts? It would be great to avoid it, but to be honest I cant think of any effective way to do it.

If thats the case then it is a disgrace. However, I dont see why Eddie would do that, there was plenty of reason to believe this one would sell well and surely it is in his interest to make boxing fans happy as they are more likely to return to his shows then.

My feeling today was that club wembley had ridiculously many good seats reserved. Just cant imagine why Eddie would do dodgy business when the show would most likely sell out to genuine fans anyways.

I got mine 5-10 min after booking. Im sure there is no reason to worry, the system is just overloaded. Do you still have the confirmation page open? Then you should take a screen shot just to make sure.

I bet Groves is laughing his head off if that's right; Groves is right under his skin and it'll benefit Groves no end.

Thank you Mark :salut: Groves doesn't give a monkeys about Froch, Lee Froch is a joke jumping in to back his brother up; Groves told Froch straight 'lay another hand on me and it'll be the end of it'.

It's a joke, although I've known mates who have gone on other people's tickets. One mate went with a ticket and he didn't even look like the photo, the security guard pulled him up on it and he went "come on mate!" and the guard let him in.

I'm considering doing it this year. I look a bit like a younger, meaner Robbie Williams. If anybody fits that bill and wants to do a swap :D
