I have reservations about any fighter that is 32-0 having never fought a top ten guy. Both promoters have held him back - they must know something.
To be honest, I'm not interested in watching him until he fights a genuine contender.

Maybe Eddie can print off them emails and show them to cameras ?
Look, we are can and argue over what vehicle the offer was made (twitter, email, letter, carrier pigeon) but it was made.
The irony of Amir's latest interview with Kugan, is he is saying that the offer is actually not that great to face Floyd Mayweather and nowhere near the telephone numbers people think he'd make.
But he is wanting "his shot" at the best. Which is fair enough I suppose, but looking at it from a business point of view, it's actually garbage then to do that - you know, face a man for pennies who will whup you senseless.
When you can take a fight that many pick you to win , on British television, for a bumper pay cheque.
I saw the interview you are referring too. Call it delusion but I'd say it's commendable that Khan is willing to and wants to face the best opposition out there, regardless of money.

Problem is that losing to a domestic rival can signal the end. Losing to Floyd isn't a catastrophe. We've seen with Haye-Fury and Froch-Groves that the older man has a lot to lose.

Anzi / Safeerah,
Team Brook state unequivocally the offer was made.
Team Khan say it wan't.
So answer me this why should I accept the word of Amir Khan over Brook ?
I know the truth.
This offer was made and Khan shit his pants.
Why ? I have no idea because for 5 mill you would think Khan would have snapped his hands off as an easy pay day if he's so superior.
The truth is - he isn't !!!
I hope he comes back after another defeat begging Brook for a shot at his World title in Autumn 2014 and Brook tells him to fornicate off and get in the queue or take £750k.

Khan is afraid of Brook, but not of Mayweather ? come on now ? He will fight Maidana, maybe the biggest puncher, but not Brook ? I don't know what the truth is regarding the 5M, one says one thing another says something else, But I remember the so called massive offer Hearn was supposed to have offered Groves, but Groves decided to go the other route and go for a smaller percentage of the purse under the sanctioning body rules, with no options, so much for the offer he could not refuse, yes they have since come to an agreement, but this is very much the same thing, if it was true about the 5ML offered to Khan, once Mayweather fell through he would of took it, I mean Brook is not Mayweather, it is a case of a 60/40 or 55/45 in Khan's favour against Brook ( Khan has been there done it, Brook hasto do it, yet )but against Mayweather Khan would be a big underdog.

Khan fights Danny Garcia, Lamont Peterson, Marcos Maidana and Zab Judah yet is supposedly scared of Kell Brook. Never heard anything as stupid in my life. Khan stops Brook somewhere between round 7 and 10.

Khan made some good points, and actually came across well in my opinion. His point about his next fight, and first at the weight will still be against somebody better than Brook has faced in his career was sadly true, though I still think Brook would beat him.
In a lot of ways Brook might have been better off had he never gone the eliminator/mandatory route. Sounds stupid and nobody was to know, but he could have otherwise had 3 quality, profile raising fights in that time.

I honestly don't think there is 5m in the pot for that fight to pay Khan. Eddie would lose a fortune.

It was 5 million dollars anyway. Not pounds like it's been widely reported to be.

Now I think Brook beats Khan only by virtue of the fact that Khan's chin is poor and Kell hits hard enough to stop him.
However, to suggest Khan is 'afraid' is a joke. A guy who's fought Maidana, Peterson, Judah, Garcia etc is not afraid of Kell Brook.
I like Brook, I've warmed to him as a fighter but when your best win is against an ageing Carson Jones then its difficult to justify a Khan fight.

Jones is actually a few months younger than Kell!

..... He's shot worn though I think

It's silly and a distraction; Brook should be concentrating 100% on Porter. I can remember Bomber Graham was more than ready for a title shot and got messed around and lost to Kalumbay and had to wait around after that. His prime was wasted; boxers don't continue to get better and better - they peak and they decline. I hope no more spanners in the works for Brook and hope he does the job; I also hope Khan gets through Collazo (Brook wouldn't go near him I don't think). I don't imagine either would win v Thurman or Mayweather but it'd be nice if they both faced each other having a world title at stake.
I don't understand the post by Parson Cross - ' I hope he comes back after another defeat begging Brook for a shot at his World title in Autumn 2014 and Brook tells him to eff off and get in the queue or take £750k.'
Khan doesn't owe Brook anything and has his own career plan; I can't imagine him begging Brook for anything.

What if Khan loses to Collazo and Brook wins the IBF ?
Do you think Khan would be interested then ?
What no one is answering is why Khan turned down $5 mill if its such an easy fight for Khan, back on home soil with a sell out crowd.
If he's not worried about Brook why ?
What exactly is Khan's career plan ?

Maybe it's because Money aside (Khan does seem to be drive by career accomplishments as much as money) there's nothing to gain from fight Kell currently.

... and from Collazo ? Oh yes the WBA International title.

If Khan loses to Collazo he could quite easily drop back to light welter, say the weight did him and be in the mix around the top 10; boxing in Vegas etc.
If Brook beats Porter he'll have plenty of people after his crown. The thing is that Brook has been angling for/mentioning Khan for around 18 months when he's really not been boxing around that level.
I imagine that if there was a proper offer made there would have been promotional stipulations/options etc, Khan is allied with a different promotional outfit. You really do imagine Khan is afraid of Brook; which fight of Brooks has frightened Khan off? Maybe, like Ricky Hatton and Junior Witter he got pissed off with being slated and resented giving Brook either a platform or a good payday?
Up until about 3 months ago Khan looked to be right in the running for a big, big fight v Floyd - a bout with Kell, in all honesty isn't quite as big as that. Khan has been at the top and made his money, I imagine he's about ready for looking at life after boxing. His has been a successful career, he's boxed some top men and lost and won some.

Collazo is coming off a crushing victory over US television darling Ortiz so his name is hot - if Khan beats Collazo it's a good scalp taken at a good time.

Who do you think will hold more weight in the states if Khan is going to get the Mayweather fight? A guy that's best win is Senchenko and has no profile in the states OR a guy that is coming off an early knockout of Victor Ortiz?

I've always rated Collazo as a solid and capable southpaw.
The fact Khan was falling apart by the 8th round against Diaz, spells absolute curtains for me in this one. His approach under Hunter is poor and he has regressed badly.
As our regular betting man Hagler would say "Wheel barrows at the ready."

Devon Alexander ring any bells to you? I'll believe it when I see it.
Anyhow, I doubt he'd bottle a fight against feather fisted Mallignagi. Seen ery little of Porrer so cant comment on him.

Malignaggi has stopped 2 of 7 opponents in his recent run at welterweight, Alexander has stopped 1 of 4.
Why would Brook bottle it against Alexander but not Malignaggi?
Malignaggi is far better than anyone Brook has faced so far. I wouldn't be that surprised if Malignaggi stopped Brook.
