Not sure Joe is looking out for the best interests of his fighter here.

Goosen is a twat.... you don't shout the odds to a ring doctor when your kid is running on fumes....

Matthysse vs Molina was F*CKING AWESOME!!!!!!
I thought Molina would be doing well to win a round going in, he did a hell of a lot more than that. GREAT FIGHT!!!!!
I had a big admiration for both of these guys before tonight, it's even greater now. They're true warriors.

That was amazing. God bless Joe Goosen though good to see someone care that much. The Doctor was a dick imho he could have just said "let him answer the questions" saying "shut up" at that moment was out of line.
Amazing fight though, two guys I'd always pay to see.

I tend to agree although I think the doctor wanted to hear from Molina himself and not Goosen answering on Molina's behalf. I can understand the doctors position in that sense but it was a little rude.

I think "shut up" is fine.... When you are trying to asses the health of a fighter who is taking damage the last thing you want is some egotistical c
unt trying to have a pissing contest with you.

The doctor has an important job. He's not there to be nice to Joe Goosen, he's there to protect John Molina in this instance.

In a perfect world I'd agree with you, but when you care that much and your adrenaline is that high, it's not ego, it's something else. Hard to explain, but I know the feeling and I admit I admire it in people. Good to see people who have worked hard and have real desire.

Goosen wasn't the one taking punches.

None of this matters anyway. The doctor has probably the most important job in the arena, in the grand scheme of things. If he tells someone to shut up, they should shut up, end of. This isn't a pissing contest, as Checkhook said, people's lives are on the line.

This is a big fight for Keith Thurman.
A good opportunity to plant a flag at welterweight.
