I agree that the Ortiz win flattered Collazzo, but Khan's last fight against Diaz alarmed me. Everytime he got hit he wobbled all over the place. I was at the O2 arena when Khan boxed Limond and I was shocked at how badly he was shaken up in that fight. I like Khan. He is as brave as you like and will fight his heart out, but I am nervous for him every time he boxes. Collazo might be big and slow, but I can't see him not hitting Khan in 12 rounds, and therein lies the problem for me.

I hope I am wrong though and that Khan wins well.

How'd you work that one out!? We all know what "haters" means and saying I'm far from Khan's biggest fan was just to outline the fact I'm not overly bias and blind from the truth due to being a massive fan. So don't see your point....

I dont think Collazo is as slow as some are making him out to be here. He's always had pretty good reflexes when i've watched him on the whole. Definietly wouldnt say he's flat footed either. Is he as quick as Khan? No, but then who hell is really.

I feel nervous for Khan every time he boxes too - it makes for an edgy fight. He doesn't take it too well but when he's firing he does pretty well, he's shaken some good fighters up and he is up there at world class - that's some going when he can't take a heavy punch. Lets be honest, Collazo wasn't meant to win v Ortiz and team Ortiz knew he didn't take a shot very well - Collazo hadn't really shown the sort of power to do that before. I'm sure I've seen Khan box a southpaw before and he knew what he was doing; he's had over 12 months to get used to the weight and adjust to Hunters' methods. I think he'll chop Luis up with his fast hands and if he can drop Maidana and Zudah with body punches the Collazo had better have done his sit ups.

I was just about to post. I don't know what people have been watching to call Collazo slow. He has decent speed and more than enough skill for Khan to be dealt with once again.

How do you explain the loss to Hernandez - Hernandez's only win in his last 6 fights? That loss is worse than anything on Khan's record. And Khan has much bigger wins. Khan needs a good performance, but let's not pretend that Collazo is going to outbox Khan, his plan will be to get it to the later rounds and try to grind him down.
Obviously, Judah was a southpaw and most would say a better southpaw than Collazo. Khan dealt with him OK.

I backed Collazo a few weeks ago to win at 5/2 - not the best odds I guess, but couldn't be bothered opening a new account.

Khan is so brave he might hang on for 12, but going against a bigger man with a decent punch, over 12 rounds, it seems doubtful he'll avoid disaster - but he's in the last chance saloon for that mega Mayweather payday if he wins, so the incentive is as big as it comes ( I doubt Collazo is 100% to get a shot at Floyd if he wins ) and he'll be putting in a super human effort - but he's fragile at the best of times, and at 147 .........

I don't know, but Nick Wells and Duane Bobick bombed out Larry Holmes as amateurs. I'm sure that would have counted for a lot in the pros.

A fight that happened recently is a lot more relevant than a fight between two teenagers from twelve years ago.

I'm on the Collazo express. I think he's a guy that is deserving of bigger fights aswell. He's been on the end of a few questionable decisions due to him not having a powerful promoter for a lot of his career.

probably roughly the same as the odds on any other fighter finding excuses after they lose.

dunno if you noticed, but it's quite common, amongst fighters.
