Fewkes always lacked a punch, remember him going life and death with Tomaz Mazwericz (sp) early doors when he didnt need to.

From my neck of woods Aaron Thomas and Craig Winter couldve achieved more in pro game had they not fallen foul to temptations outside the ring. Talking British champions, european contenders with these two had they given it their all.

Another recent "Welshman" to disappoint was Tony Doherty. Were still talking British champion / euro contender as appose to superstar, but Tony had tools to get that far - just didnt look that arsed, really.

Joe looked like potentially the best of the olympians that went pro at first, and Frankie Gavin got gold at worlds and looked a dead cert for greatness.

Does anyone remember Adrian Dodson, another who promised much but delivered little and I also remember a top welsh heavy prospect Rudi Pika who sadly took his own life after a promising start. I watched Pika push Frank Bruno close in the ABA finals.
