Thompson is a decent replacement at short notice but how ready is he? The tiger with 12 weeks notice is a little different to one with five days notice

Depends whether he's been training I guess.

What makes people think there is any intention of finding Tyson a replacement? Has anybody with any real involvement suggested they're looking?

Wazza's official release says BJS top of the bill and a new date for Chisora Fury to be announced shortly.
Hope Chisora gets as much grief as Brook.

Eubank Jr is saying NO, apparently they cant both pull out of their scheduled fights and BJS is just talking big because he knows that. I wonder how true that is.

Love to see Eubank against BJS no way it will happen. Fury won't fight in case he loses. This is why you shouldn't buy tickets to fights unless its a top matchroom show.

I'm gutted that this isn't happening but more so for Fury who must be like a coiled spring right now. Wouldn't like to be in his company at the moment...

Do we know how Chisora broke his hand?

Surely Chisora would be out for a few months with a broken hand so that fight would now be a new year job. Fury can't go the rest of the year without a fight. That'd then be 1 fight in almost 2 years!

Sounds like back end of last week, he felt it on Friday, they got it checked out over the weekend and it showed up a break.

The majority of his shows fall apart, over the past year or so. I'm not saying what you get on the night is not alright, nor am I saying every match he makes falls through, but there is a major difference between what he announces when a show is launched, and the eventual bill. When you look back at how many times Nathan Cleverley was meant to be on these shows between last autumn and this spring, and take into account Nathan's move to Matchroom, well personally I conclude that fights were being announced when the fighter (Nathan) hadn't agreed. He never fought on any of those shows, and he jumped camps. I think there were about four shows that Cleverley was meant to be on. There's something odd about that.

Fury should try to get a deal with Matchroom. There is no doubt Matchroom are a more reliable set up, and that they reach a wider audience.

Just putting this out there. I think Tyson will give up on this have a few warm fights with matchroom and then try and fight Haye again. Then retire if he loses.

tarver is saying he will fight if there is a rematch clause as he has had no prep time. I think its highly unlikely anyone decent ends up fighting fury i think its going to be a refund job if i can get one.

His best option right now, in terms of moving his career forward, is to go with Matchroom and Sky.

In fairness to Chisora, I can't recall him withdrawing from a fight prior to this.

Fury needs to stop thinking about one big fight next, and think about his career as a whole. Yes, he would get the mandatory slot if he beat Chisora, but he is highly ranked anyway and he should concentrate on a few good fights to get him to the top level.

Anyone know why Warren scheduled this fight 6 months ago?? Why the long weight in-between the announcement and the fight?
