That's the thing, I can see Murray actually getting stopped quicker than Macklin - if Murray just tries his usual tactics of a high guard & standing his ground, GGG will absolutely pulverise his body.

Serious answer - I'm honestly not sure. How else would Murray fight? I've not seen him employ any other tactics & if he'd had a different strategy he could have beaten Martinez, so I'm not sure he can actually do too much different.

exactly mate, Murray/his camp never struck me as having the most adaptable and versatile style.

It was interesting hearing Macklin talking about him on Sky. He was saying that he didn't get buzzed by any head shots but could feel continual weight, especially the jab and the fact he knew he couldn't eat those all night changed his plans. Even leaving aside the body shot, which broke 2 ribs from short range, the telling comment was how he(Macklin) was backpeddling trying to fight at distance and was in 5th gear and Golovin was coming forward in 1st. The guy has a solid chin, hand speed, skills, experience and that heavy handedness. Can't see Cotto touching a fight with him. I know people want to see GGG in the ring with the top guys but the top guys don't want any part of him.

Dont really blame Cotto to be honest. He's a welterweight (at best light-middle) fighting at middleweight. Would much rather see him in with Alvarez myself.

I think Canelo is mediocre and certainly don't get excited when he fights.

I forecasted it would be Baldomir 2 against Floyd, and I'd forecast right now that his corner throw the towel into the ring in 2 rounds if he fought GGG.

I think Cotto would beat Canelo.

Canelo is a very good boxer but feasts more happily on naturally smaller opposition; Floyd did hurt him a few times and made him reluctant about to press. He's most likely a little stronger mentally and more mature as a fighter now, Cotto v Canelo is a good match up and will be a great scrap; Canelo v Golovkin would be a massacre.

Totally agree, but will be annoying if Cotto defends the middleweight title at light middle, rather than dropping down and vacating the title.

The only way I see him getting beat is by someone who can punch as hard, or almost as hard as he can. Someone hugely powerful, yet awkward. Someone like Adonis Stevenson...

As mentioned earlier, a slick boxer like Ward would not have the power to discourage him and whilst I'm sure he'd make it incredibly tough for him, he'd get caught eventually. GGG has a decent chin from what we've seen, Cotto (legend) or Canelo don't have the power or size to compete. He'll go up soon surely.

I would really like to see GGG in a fight against a real defensive & tactical master, I'd love to see someone with Rigos ability with a natural 160lb frame and see who came out on top in a clash of styles between a technically superb offensive fighter and a defensive genius

Unfortunately I don't see the guys around him, who can lay claim to such skills are an even match wieght wise
I think Ward at 168 is naturally too big for him and would beat him, if in good shape and at his best
And mayweather is too small and it would be an unfair fight if he came up to meet GGG at 160 or even 154
