We are consumers, so have a right to voice our opinion and demand value for money. Its not even a concept in other consumer driven environments but in sports we are somehow supposed to not have an opinion because we haven't achieved as much. Imagine applying that logic to anything else. You go buy a new Mercedes and find you can't get it out of second gear and when you take it back to the garage they looked you up and down and say "I bet you couldn't build that engine any better anyway mate, you shouldn't complain so much".... And the reality is Bellew is more Morris minor than he is Mercedes, but I still want value for money when I'm shelling out.

I have never said people shouldn't have opinions not at all, but there's a big difference between having an opinion and putting someone down when you are no where near on there level but claim you are better than them :yay:

This is a forum it's about opinions but I would never say I was more succesful and fitter than some one if I was a slob and on the dole, as I would be a hypocrite! Would I not???

Why are you so upset? Have you ever touched Tony Bellend? I bet you really want to. Shouting and sweating anytime someone has anything remotely negative to say about your hero makes you look really stupid.

So does saying Tony is 'world level'.

He got demolished when he stepped up, didn't he?
Upset????? I assure u 100% I am not upset

As for my hero no he is a close personal friend that's all, and the point here is someone saying they are fitter/more successful when they clearly are not.

Oh and I said he is world level he has had 2 world title fights, he was mandatory he earned his shot so he is obviously world level dumb ass :KO: :OhYes: your acting as tho I said he is elite level or something! So the only one who looks stupid is u obviously clown next time I suggest reading the post carefully mate

I think the issue here is that 'success' is a very subjective definition in the first place, it would be wrong to suggest that a person who owns a successful regional newspaper is unsuccessful but for me, a good solid definition of success is if one is happy and content - if one is, then they are successful in my opinion - even if they are on the bins - if they can get a good sleep at night and be content with the world around them then that is success. Robin Williams - for all his oscars and golden globe awards - would have happily swapped them for contentment of mind.

Can you compare Tony Bellew - who is a success in his field - as you pointed out and are absolutely correct, to a man who has made his name by owning a succesful regional newspaper? I think they cannot be compared except to say that both me are success stories in regards achivements but the most successful people are the ones who are happy on the inside and out. Just my 10 pence worth. :TU:
Well you should ask that body builder that question as he is the one with the negative comments and the so called fitter/ more succesful
You seemed to have shoved him into the category of bodybuilder, simply to suit your argument. He also runs the regional newspaper mentioned, runs marathons, does triathlons and can keep up a sub 7 minute mile pace. Whether he's more successful or not is down to opinion, but if he can run sub 7 minute miles consistently, I'd take a guess that he's probably fitter than Tony Bellew, who doesn't exactly appear to be a natural athlete, although he is a good fighter.

And lost twice. He has fought at world level once, possibly twice if you consider Cleverly a world class fighter, and twice he has fallen short, so he isn't at world level, he's somewhere below that level. Plenty of very average fighters have fought for world titles and been mandatory, it doesn't make them world level fighters. And I don't think he earned his shot either, a win and a draw against Chilemba shouldn't guarantee you a world title shot IMO.

To be fair, you are the one who threw out 'Tony Bellew is more successful than anyone on here and their whole family tree' And that made me laugh, so you got some responses from it back which you must have expected.

Some people value certain pursuits higher than others - there are a lot of people who would be suitably unimpressed with what Tony Bellew has done up until now (not me by the way but I cannot speak for everybody) depending on their views towards boxing.

So, there will be a segment of mankind who would think Tobyh5 is more successful than Tony Bellew - owning a newspaper is no small thing, you admit that surely?

He owns a news agents mate not a paper. But again he hasn't got a clue about bellews companies outside of boxing he just assumed he was more succesful, like I said earlier I'm not putting him down he is fairly succesful and is in half decent shape, but come on mate to come on here saying the shape of bellew then the ordasity to say he is more succesful and fitter when he is a body builder who hasn't won a thing and isn't even a British standerd at that, then say he owns a news agency with a few workers under his belt, well that's just ridiculous,

I have a really really good job and I know I am a succesful person myself and I would never say I was more succesful than bill gates and this is almost the same what he is comparing! To be honest he is funny tho il give him that

Exe u say u think he's fitter coz he runs a 7 minute mile??????

How many people in the world can do that, I hand on heart know at least 2 friends if not more that can do that. All that proves is he can do 1 thing to a half decent standard,
Is that not the exact same as me saying ok bellew can hit harder throw faster punches, skip better, do pad work better and so on and so on,
He is a normal guy who is half fit, but to compare himself to a world fighter who is a multi champion is ridiculous mate surely u see that????

Just a reply to some one who asked what I do for a living, I know I make a good living but I also said I didn't want to say the company I work for, I am not the one comparing my self to anyone, or stating I am more succesful

Hilarious generally to be honest, I replied to the crap you wrote pal. How am I clearly not as fit as him? Where is your evidence to that? I ALSO bodybuild, l'd love to see your mate come along to a triathlon meet sometime, or run a marathon with me.

Who cares anyway, as someone said, you spouted lots of stupid comments and asked me to reply so I did. I do not care how that looks to you and to be honest your reply, attitude, passive aggression and whole demeanour makes me wonder what company is employing you in any position of responsibility. I hope you use more logic and calmness when making business decisions for that company
