And for the umpteenth time nobody is saying that Leonard had to wait as long as Napoles. Nobody is saying that Napoles should not have got a title fight sooner.

What some people are saying is that Leonard did not have an easy road. He won 27-0 with 8 wins over ranked contenders when he got a title shot. Then he had to beat a great fighter to win the title. That is not an easy road.

But of course, once again you aren't reading what people are really posting.

And all I am saying that Sugar Ray had an easier road than Mantequilla to the top...How about that?

If that was all you were saying, I would have no problem with it. You can reasonably argue that since Napoles had to wait so long, he had a "harder road" to get a title shot. However, you said several dumba$$ things earlier. Among them:
The only real welterweight that Leonard beat was Hearns. That is total BS.
Leonard was privileged. He wasn't.
Leonard got the Gold Spoon. Again, total BS.

You can say that Napoles should have got a title shot sooner without the BS about Leonard.

Leonard schooled Duran on the second fight and the first was close. Duran to me was better than Napoles and so was Hearns.

To me Leonard was losing clearly to Hearns in the first fight. But Leonard dug deep and did what he was supposed to do to beat Hearns.

Not sure what "it took longer to get a title shot" or "golden spoons" have to do with this fight. We are measuring skills here and it is clear that Leonard had more skills than Napoles.

I'm sure Napoles would have made it competitive but in the end Leonard wins the fight.

Where did I say he wouldn't? In fact, In case you didn't read my post, I said "Napoles will make it competitive". Never have I said that Napoles is mediocre fighter. I don't believe he is as good as Leonard that is all.

Is it possible for Napoles to win? Yes, absolutely.

Buy imo is not likely that he wins.

No problem with that at all man. No problems. It is about how I see it. I just take issue with the the guys who are so certain, and one thing I learned with 40 years experience of life inside and outside the ropes is that when you are dealing with the top men in the trade is no result is certain.
