I can only think of one time in recent years when Floyd was the bigger guy in the ring, and he could basically do what ever he wanted. (JMM) This one will be more of a challenge, but still be relatively easy work for Floyd, even at his age. Unless Roach comes up with a totally new game plan with Pac's style, Floyd will take full advantage of Pac's reckless aggression.

The same Ortiz that got KO'd by Collazao? Yet you believe Floyd will knock down Pacquiao in route to a stoppage yet don't believe Pacquiao do the same. Pretty biased.
The point of that wasn't whether or not Floyd can knock down Pacquiao, the point of it was whether or not Mayweather has the punching power to do so and I believe he does and he's proven it.
If that's biased, then so be it.

IKSRTFO wrote:Doesn't mean as much when you consider Floyd seemed puzzled by the simplicity of Maidana
That's just it, Manny isn't Maidana and doesn't have the physical toughness and chin of Chino. You keep using all these other fighters as a reference or comparison into what you think MP will be able to do, two can play that game all day long, for example:
JMM easily outboxed MP in the first fight and this was after getting knocked down 3 times, I'm sure you will say Pac has improved since then but then JMM goes on to beat him arguably in 2 fights afterwards before putting him to sleep in the last fight. Bradley was able to beat Manny for 5 rounds in the first fight and he's far shorter, slower and doesn't hit as hard as Floyd. So you see we can go on and on with your ridiculous speculations and whatnot but none of that will matter.
Floyd is the far superior boxer, better defense, timing, use of distance, underrated chin and faster than Manny according to SSM, Manny used to be more aggressive, doesn't have a great defense, has great angles and footwork but doesn't know how to set traps and his chin is highly suspect plus he's shorter with a shorter reach.
Floyd will take advantage of all of Pacquiao's flaws and just as Jeff Mayweather stated, once Floyd figures out Manny's timing the fight is over and I think it becomes a matter of Mayweather walking him down and picking him apart with laser right hands and left hooks to the body after a double jab on every occasion.
FLoyd by easy UD after 5.

But Pacquiao can't knockout Mayweather? That's biased considering whatever you list against one, it probably applies to the other.
Haven't had a recent knockout: both
Shown ability to hurt opponents: both

Pacquiao hasn't had a KO in a longer time than Mayweather, end of story.

Extremely biased.
I do not see a knock out for either fighter.Neither has had one in years.

Algieri & Margarito were KO's & TKO's in reality, only inept officiating has them as Dec's in the books.

Floyd wins this fight relatively easily. Floyd is going be right there to feel what Pacquiao has early, he's going to find out he can take Pacquiaos best shot and then begin to walk Pacquiao down with his high guard and scrape him with straight right hands all night. This fight is going to be a lot like Mayweather/Hatton in the sense that Pacquiao will be busy but won't get much clean work in. Once Floyd starts touching Pacquiao, Pacquiao is going to get wreckless and Floyd is going start sitting down on his shots around mid-fight. This is the type of fight Floyd will have a legit chance of stopping Pacquiao.
I'm saying this in all seriousness.. Don't be surprised if Mayweather stops Pacquiao by a TKO, just to prepare these Pacquiao lovers and Floyd haters. As much as people like to talk about Pacquiaos power, Pacquiao is the one in danger of losing this fight by stoppage more so than Floyd.

I don't think even Floyd is that foolish. There is a chance that he can't take what Pacquiao has.

Floyd stood in front of Mosley, Canelo and Cotto to see what they had early.. Pacquiao will be no exception.

Then you can't be that sure that he would win easily. You keep playing with fire, you may just come up short. And Pacquiao has NEVER fought like Hatton. They aren't even on the same level

I never said Pacquiao was like Hatton, I said it was going to be like the Hatton fight in the sense Pacquiao will be busy but won't be effective while Floyd lands clean/flush shots to that oversized dome.
You watch, Floyd will not be fighting backwards against Pacquiao, he will keep the fight in the middle of ring and Pacquiao will be jumping all over the damn ring using wasted movement and not getting shit done. Floyd will be right in front of Pacquiao, Pacquiao will be swinging landing little to nothing, Floyd is going to be right there to feel what Pacquiao has early and Pacquiao doens't have anything Floyd hasn't felt before.

There is a chance and it would be stupid to test that. I NEVER said he would stop Floyd like you said Floyd would stop Pacquiao.

You're wasting your time debating with clearly biased Pacquiao fans, all you are going to be reading about after the fight is over is how many excuses they will have when Manny loses this fight.
I NEVER said he would stop Floyd like you said Floyd would stop Pacquiao.
It's not out of the realm to believe that it is more possible for Floyd to KO Manny than the other way around given Pacquiao's recent chin activity.

What amazes me with the closeness of the poll.
Is that Vegas has Floyd as nearly a 3 to 1 favorite.
I wonder how many that are picking Manny are confident enough to place
a wager?
I would not put a wager on this fight but I wonder who here is confident enough

With Floyd being -275 and Manny +235, yeah, I can see people putting money on Pac. Like the saying goes though, a fool and his money will soon be parted. Manny fans are extremely loyal.

Pac has never been quite the same since he left 140.
I think in 2008-2009 at 140 he would have a better chance. In fact the lower the weight division they fight in and the closer to their primes the more I like Pac. But all the reasons why I liked Pac in this one have diminished.
