DeGale 115-111 for me. Could see 114-112 DeGale. Probably a draw or close for Dirrell.

Great fight.

I thought it was pretty easy to score for Degale. 2 knockdowns. He won the 2,3,4,6,11,12.

I don't know about great fight but you were spot on with the 114-112 scorecard as 2 of the judges had it by that score.

Imagine that. British fighters get fair shakes in the U.S.

If only the opposite held true we would have a more respected sport.

Great is relative to the mega-dance exhibition three weeks ago. These guys both wanted it. No tapping gloves before every round. No dry humping before the 12th.

Excellent boxing. Big hearts all around.

How old are you, diddy?

You always come across as a whining kid on this board, so often. You were wrong, deal wth it for fucks sake.

How did he get this rep with some of you?

Is it because he boxed Froch's ears off and got robbed of a decision he should have easily got?

Or is it because he was on the receiving end of one of the dirtiest fouls in recent boxing history, one that could have easily ended a career?

Yes, Andre did take his time coming back. Yes, some of what he said during the layoff sounded contradictory or like excuse making...but it also could be he was a guy still dealing with having his brains scrambled and his behavior and comments were a result of it.

But what the folks who want to call him effeminate and other unflattering things seem to not get is this:

He's back.

And he is slowly but surely increasing the level of his competition- unlike some other prominent boxers treated like sacred cows by some fans.

If Dirrell gets back to being the guy he was before that shameful foul, we could be looking at the only 168 pounder with a legit chance to beat Ward, which I felt he was before the foul.
Bullshit. From start to finish.

LMAO
The only one ending dirrels career, was dirrel himself.
Those actions, cheating, acting cant be undone, and will be both in his own, opponents and fans mind. he is done on A-level.
Looks like he is headed back to A-level to me.

And the way things are going, he is going to get an A fight long before others who refuse to step up and challenge themselves.

And, that was no act. He couldn't tell anyone his name for minutes after Abraham fouled him.

You want to call it acting, fine.
Bullshit, from start to finish.

So you think he is going to win every round obviously, so do you want to bet James wins more then 2 rounds?
At 168, there's Ward and Dirrell, and then everyone else.

I gave Froch 3 (maybe 4 rounds) against Dirrell, simply outclassed. Andre has been fighting/taking chances a little more against bums, but in a big match against a guy with some skill and pop, he'll go back to boxing. Degale is on Groves level, who is slightly below Froch's level. None of those guys can box with Dirrell.

This might be a shut out, or 10-2 the closest. Degale simply isn't good enough ... but try telling that to British boxing fans. :witzend:

Hmmmm....

Why can't you just admit you were wrong, rather than being a dick about it? I pick fights wrongly all the time, but at least I admit it. You always attach it to some unrelated condescending point about something else, or pretend it didn't happen somehow.

I thought Dirrell would win.

How I picked the fight has nothing to do with the reality that it was a close fight and a visiting fighter wouldn't have walked out of the UK with the same fair result. Or have we not seen that enough times already? It's so bad over there that Andre Ward, who dominated Froch, refuses to fight the guy in his backyard. That's how much of a joke it is over there. He knows he can win 9-10 rds and still lose.
