Team Parker talked to WBC Eurasia's Alan Kim, and got the belt fight ahead of De Mori who also wanted it.
They were originally going to fight for it in December but moved it forward when they found out Mark wanted it
Funny how the boxing backroom works. They should be fighting each other for it!

He's fighting in Holzminden in Germany on October 24th. No opponent named. Might check it out. Thoughts on an opponent?

Mark was meant to fight Danny Williams (FFS...). Thankfully Williams pulled out injured. He is fighting on the 24th of October. I think the new opponent is Gregory Toney...?

A German newspaper is reporting it's 5'11 Brad Gregory who has lost 5 of his last 6, including getting KO'd by Chauncy Welliver last time out - and that was 5 years ago.....

Where the hell do they find these guys? A dude from Kansas who hasn't fought for five years... man oh man.
At least poor old Danny isn't getting into the ring. The idea that de Mori wanted to enhance his reputation by beating up a "name" who no responsible commission would licence leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

surely he couldn't possibly be facing this guy?
will be beyond pathetic if true.

Didn't believe you.

My apologies just when you think it couldn't get more ludicrous Mark outdoes himself.

Nobody should be surprised if it is Gregory.
A stiff who hasn't fought for 5 years, losing 5 of his last 6 by KO.
Sounds perfect for the name dropping de Mori.
The WBA has this clown {de Mori] ranked 11, ahead of Parker and Joshua.

Mark aka the Dominator, now has to go up against the venerable TBA in the card on 24th October in Germany.
Now this is an all time "Claytons" card if there ever was one, with "TBA" listed twelve times on that card in Germany. Sadly for Mark he is relegated down in the prelims section of the card, which appears as dodgy as the Hitler Diaries.

That's a busy night for TBA. Incredible boxing stamina across multiple weight divisions. Might be too risky for De Mori - fight may be called off.
Is Gregory no longer coming out of his 5yr retirement?

I think Marks team want him fighting for the vacant WBA International belt next year. Michael Sprott's name has been mentioned.

Mark still holds the WBF title despite not having defended it for two years. How can that be? Next they will be promoting him to super champion

According to BoxRec de Mori is fighting SuperWelter Mehmet Karaka.
Just knew Mark's career would sparkle once he gave the "Old Shonk" Don King the flick.

Mehmet has fought as low as 140 pounds. I know De Mori is worried about the size of current heavies, but fights like this make him look ridiculous

Mehmet is 5ft 8 and has a record of 2 wins and 7 losses. Surely this is a gag?

Anton,
This is a wind up. Can you please recheck this because it can not be right.
He is 5'8, weighed 72kgs a year ago. How can a santioning body allow a 5'8 fat guy whom has a terrible record at Lt Middle in with a heavy without boxing for a year.
Even in Germany they would not allow this.

De Mori's current reaching for the stars, reminds me of a couple of lines from a Dirty Harry movie:
Captain Briggs (De Mori): Don't you lecture me, you son of a b!tch! Do you know who I am? Do you know my record?
Harry Callahan: Yeah... you're a legend in your own mind.
And say so all of us!

Nice one Belter.
Assume that it's a typo.
But maybe it's a tent boxing gig with catch weights.
