Yea Kirkland was out of it he thought he tried to beat the count, poor Kirkland couldnt even move a muscle when the ko blow landed.

This was so predictable people lol. They say boxing is a unpredictable sport, but there are times when something is just so glaringly obvious through the objective eye, how could one not see this coming? Kirkland is a one dimensional C-level fighter who never even belonged in the ring with a guy like Canelo. Canelo had balls for fighting a guy with 0 defense and the boxing IQ of a rock? Come on people, it was a impressive display of power by Canelo, but beyond that there's nothing impressive about knocking out a guy like Kirkland who doesn't use any defense, doesn't set up his shots in a clever way and simply doesn't know to do anything else. Kirkland comes forward with his chin in the air and swings for the fences, yes entertaining but no skillful or boxing in it's purist form. Anne Wolfe couldn't have done a thing for Kirkland to help him take a ass kicking from Canelo, those are facts lol.

I agree that the result shouldn't have been surprising given the vulnerability Kirkland has shown, especially early. Still a fun fight though in my opinion.

Kirkland is a beast he looked like he was on his way to coming back in the beginning of the 3rd and never stopped pushing it.

More than anyone can say about jokeweather and pacquiao.

Great fight while it lasted. That is what suits Alvarez best. For me he will always struggle against a top level slickster but if you want a brawl Alvarez is your man.

That three rounds was far better than last weeks borefest.

A one sided shootout, Kirkland never hurt Canelo but Alvarez hit and hurt James regularly - a good scrap though. For all Kirkland's muscle Canelo hit much harder.

If ever there was an obvious showcase fight, where the fantastic looking result would garner more credit than it warranted, this was it.
And if ever there was a fighter who's level of success absolutely depended on a particular trainer, Kirkland was that.
Without Wolfe, Kirkland is basically a simple brawler with no legs or wind.

Excellent fight to restore faith,Alvarez was brutal and clinical and that KO was one of the best I've seen and the KD Saul scored before it was as good an uppercut your likely to see

I take my hat off to Kirkland though he stood up to some heavy shots too,the ones that decked would've decked most guys, respect him for not trying to run at the start when everyone knows he's most vulnerable but he was on the attack for the most part,fun fight

Trying to run?! How many times have you seen Kirkland try to run? Like I said a couple days ago, they picked Kirkland because he fit Canelo's style perfectly, and knew Kirkland had been off almost 2 years and had to lose 40+ pounds. Kirkland is a hard puncher, but guys like him make Canelo look better than he actually is, imo. On paper it looked like a dangerous fight for Canelo, but in reality it was the perfect opponent.

It was a fun fight. But I think people are going over board a bout how good Canelo is. He beat a fighter that was tailored to his style.
Canelo did exactly what everyone thought he would do.

Yeah I know Kirkland doesn't do backfoot fighting but surely he and his team knew avoiding Alvarez's hard,accurate shots was vital in the early stages seeing as that's when James is most vulnerable so keeping out of harms way for the first few rounds would've been the wise thing to do,biggest fight of Kirkland's life and he just fought fire with fire and got himself KO'd
