Well, not really. I mean, he's made no secret of his love for Mr. Kipling cakes. He used to talk about how much he liked them when his fights were on the BBC over a decade ago. I'm not exactly what you'd call skinny myself, so it was more friendly banter than anything.

If anything, it's poor that these two are still fighting. They're well past their best, could get hurt and should just retire for the good of their loved ones. (If not themselves.) If the worst thing that happens to them is somebody makes a Mr. Kipling joke, then they should consider themselves lucky.....

Maybe a misunderstanding from my side with the cakes, but talk of nappies and limericks and the like is a bit off, and disrespectful, I thought. Never mind.

It was a play on the beatles 'Let it be.'

If you'd been on here a bit longer, you'd know that it was a running joke on here for quite some time, because Danny was always banging on about Mr Kiplings, mocking his own inability to keep his weight down.

My point about nappies, was that if the likes of Danny and Toney keep on fighting, they will end up with terrible brain damage. Toney seems to already be there, and Danny is certainly doing himself no favours fighting for chump change and getting regularly KO'd. My assertion was that any money that they made fighting one another, would be much to their own detriment, as neither man should still be competing.

And unfortunately you're right regarding the brain damage. Let's hope he hangs them up soon. Two wins in a row is a good enough point on which to finish.

According to a source close to Danny the 'fight' last Saturday (against Luan Krasniqi) was 'staged

Danny Williams was meant to go in the 2nd round but he said Luan wasn't hitting hard enough to go a down. In the end he knew Luan did not have real punching power so went down from a silly shot. Watch the close up-the shot bearly touches Williams. Danny agreed to this to raise money for the less fortunate so had no problem for going down for entertainment.

What Peter says ties in with the video evidence, the KO punch actually missed!!

After this 'performance' expect Danny to be signed up for Panto

In the long run, his health is going to be more important, how much can he be making at this stage of his career - 5 grand a fight if he's lucky. I'm sure he's probably got minimal expenses as he probably trains himself.

However, if he's completely punch drunk by the time he's 50, it's not going to help his family then.

He's probably in a quandary for sure, but surely he could get security work if nothing else, where he will definitely get punched in the head less than he is now. Sure, not super well paid, but it's an option.

He was supposed to fight Mark de Mori last month but pulled out injured.

Security work can supplement his income and keep him in food once his kids have finished school but it won't pay their fees and his living costs now. He could hang his gloves up and put them into a free school but I fully understand why he hasn't done that. If I were him and in his shoes, I'd do what he's doing.
