Seems to be the idea, easy knockout win to start off in the US, then go after a big fight there or fight the winner of Wake/Tawatchai. Not many good options in the IBF rankings right now.

Whilst I don't doubt the opponent is poor do people really think Frampton is not getting paid well for this? He's headlining the show and I doubt the opponent is getting much. No I don't think he's making anywhere near 1.5million quid but half a million dollars wouldn't surprise me at all given it's a Haymon show (or isn't it?)

He'll be on good money, don't think we'll find out how much he gets but Guerrero got $1m for a 10 rounder at the weekend, Frampton will be well paid for this, he hasn't fought in America before so he won't get as much, but it is a world title fight and he's topping the bill, I reckon he'll get at least $500k.

He beat Antonio Margarito's brother in law (or former brother in law) in what was considered a big shock a few fights back. Not going to cheer lead the fight but it's not the worst fight we'll have seen...heck it's better than most of Quigg's recent defenses...

I'm with you on this. Surely Haymon would have seen something in Frampton that he likes and has made the offer based on that rather than just on a one-off fee for this fight.
