I agree that they're not required to move up or down but just exactly what it is that GGG has done to deserve a fight with Floyd??punchoutsb wrote:Fighters aren't required to move up or down. He's beat a bunch of no hopers and average joes, not one P4Per on his list. If any WW had the record of GGG not one person would be saying that person deserves a shot at Floyd.

He's universally recognized as the best middleweight, and a top ten p4p. That's all he needs really. Which p4p fighters has Khan beat? Thurman? Brook?KBB wrote:I agree that they're not required to move up or down but just exactly what it is that GGG has done to deserve a fight with Floyd??punchoutsb wrote:Fighters aren't required to move up or down. If you're wanting Floyd to go out against a guy with wins against p4p level guys, you're getting a rematch with Pac or JMM...nobody wants that.

Who was talking about Floyd in this thread ? Why do you keep bringing your midget who is afraid to fight the "damn giant" into all threads ???KBB wrote:I agree that they're not required to move up or down but just exactly what it is that GGG has done to deserve a fight with Floyd??punchoutsb wrote:Fighters aren't required to move up or down. Froch himself said that Golovkin can motivate him due to his "fear factor".fergusg wrote: It's bad enough that Froch is almost 38 years old and far past his physical prime, but if he has a lack of desire, then he has no hope whatsoever.

Duh, it should be obvious as your loverboy GGG continues to call him out but readily avoids Lara and avoids/ducks Ward.ikorolev wrote:Who was talking about Floyd in this thread ? Why do you keep bringing your midget who is afraid to fight the "damn giant" into all threads ???

Why would he move down to fight an also ran? And isn't Ward only going after GGG because he doesn't want Kovalev, according to your logic?KBB wrote:Duh, it should be obvious as your loverboy GGG continues to call him out but readily avoids Lara and avoids/ducks Ward.ikorolev wrote:Who was talking about Floyd in this thread ? That should be obvious too, because he hasn't done anything to warrant a shot at Floyd. Lara is no also ran, besides he called out GGG.

Lara is an also ran to a champion from another division looking for mega fights. If he wants GGG so much, shouldn't he (again, by your logic) move up to 160 and fight a couple contenders first? And I've already said what GGG has done to "deserve" a shot at Floyd.KBB wrote: That should be obvious too, because he hasn't done anything to warrant a shot at Floyd. And the thread was going on so nicely.... until page 4... Thanks Brut.
Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
As it was already explained to you, Golovkin is top 10 p4p fighter which already warrants a fight with anybody. He certainly deserves that fight more than Ortiz, Guerrero and Maidana in the recent past or Khan/Brook in future.
Speaking about Lara, he is no competitor to Froch in regards to Golovkin's attention. He is no money maker, and his p4p standing is below Carl's. Besides, people want to see boxers fight and not run or spoil like Lara or Mayweather.

Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
No, he never said anything about moving up or fighting GGG until Golovkin was the one who mentioned first that he'd be willing to move to 154, if anything the onus would be on GGG to move down and beat a few fringe contenders (since that's what he's done mostly anyway) and fight them first before getting Lara.punchoutsb wrote:Lara is an also ran to a champion from another division looking for mega fights. Should he get through Erislandy, then he'd be deserving of a Floyd fight. Can you honestly answer this question since I answered yours, if GGG was doing what he did as a WW would he even be mentioned as an opponent deserving of a shot against Mayweather?
I honestly feel he wouldn't.

It's going great as long as you stay out of it whining about it. We're discussing boxing, you are just complaining.Impractical Poster wrote:And the thread was going on so nicely.... until page 4... Thanks Brut.

He's not in my top 10 P4P, sure he may be in others and undoubtedly more than likely at the top of yours. Guerrero beat a champion with a belt, so did Ortiz.
If Floyd didn't take the fights with any of them, then I'm certain that you and every other PacTurd wold be here talking about how he is ducking them.
Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
Nobody cares about your p4p (or mine for that matter). Golovkin is in all lists which matter.KBB wrote:ikorolev wrote:As it was already explained to you, Golovkin is top 10 p4p fighter which already warrants a fight with anybody. Who cares? Carl is ready for him, is GGG up for the challenge, will he move up for this bout?ikorolev wrote:Nobody cares about your p4p (or mine for that matter). Golovkin is in all lists which matter.

I don't think GGG wants to move up because if he moves up for Froch but not for Ward then he knows what people will say.

Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
Yes, of course he'd be mentioned. He doesn't have any p4p wins, but he's absolutely cut a swath through his contenders. He'd be a much better choice than Khan or Thurman.KBB wrote: No, he never said anything about moving up or fighting GGG until Golovkin was the one who mentioned first that he'd be willing to move to 154, if anything the onus would be on GGG to move down and beat a few fringe contenders (since that's what he's done mostly anyway) and fight them first before getting Lara.

GGG said he'd be willing to go to 154 to fight the best. What's so hard to understand? Lara isn't the best. GGG is the middleweight king. He doesn't need to do anything to earn immediate title shots if he moves up or down a single division for a big money fight. The same way Floyd jumped to the front to win his 154 strap, right?
Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
Loefler has been trying to get this fight for a long time. Of course Gennady is moving up for this fight if Carl is up for it. GGG can then move back to 160 if money for the Ward fight is not there. We also don't know if Ward is capable of comfortably making 168 anymore.KBB wrote:Who cares? Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
We have to give Ward the benefit of the doubt about making 168 because he's been out for nearly 2 years now by the time he fights next.ikorolev wrote:Loefler has been trying to get this fight for a long time. I wouldn't write Froch off just yet because he has a puncher's chance although I don't think he has the overall skills to beat GGG.
Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
Unfortunately, it is too early to discuss who would win, as Carl still needs to make up his mind. He became such a diva !

Froch won't get into the ring with GGG before he sells his swamp land portfolio.
You need to get in quick , because Carl told us some Chinese CEO has already shown interest.

People are going to be surprised how well Froch does against GGG. I'm picking Froch to win. Naturally bigger man + awkward style + GGG never being in the ring with an elite talent has me to believe Froch gets it. Only thing that has me a little worried for Froch is his inactivity and his age. Froch is no spring chicken but same with GGG but GGG is less shop worn than Froch. Going to be a great fight.

One thing is for sure, golivkin will get hit harder and more often than he ever has before, and will be facing a man who has more experience of big fights.
If Carl gets in Golivkin's face and starts pushing him back, it will be interesting to see if he can cope with it mentally.
