I think all four of them have brought in poor examples of mandatory challengers up and down the weight classes... There really is some fighters with very little credibility being offered World Title shots, it's a sad indictment of the sport.

Leapai being one of the examples in question... Who with any sort of a rational mind would rate Leapai as a good match for Wladimir? That's blatant madness!

In fairness, I don't think Leapai was supposed to beat Boystov (not that he would have fared that much better but he was 33-0 at the time) and they can hardly go back on their "Final eliminator" promise.

I think it's tough for some of the governing bodies in a weak division like the heavyweights. Joshua is probably a bit high at #2 for the WBC but take away Wlad (Champion), Wilder (Champion), Fury (#1 WBO?), Pulev (#1 IBF) and Chagaev (#1 WBA) then there really isn't much left aside from Povetkin who is the WBC's #1

But even at that, surely they can come up with better than this? Is it really too much to ask when we ask for (at least) a competitive bout?

I can't wait for next spring when the WBA will enforce a defence against an older, fatter, sicker Ruslan Chageav. Throw that in with an autumn defence against an Andy Ruiz or Artur Szpilka and that's another fantastic year for the heavyweights. Hurry up 2016!!!

They brought him back a couple of years ago when they were bringing a load of old legends out onto the pitch at half time, still got abuse 20 years later.

Frank W said in his latest IFTV interview he doesn't know who's going to promote this, i don't think talks are at a serious stage, still think this will go to purse bids and end up in Germany.
