OK, so he might be notably faster. My point is, it's not an attribute that's going to be weighted heavily in the importance stakes when workrate coupled with toughness and power would count for so much more in that style matchup, none of which Ward has. All the speed in the world won't help Ward when he's getting tagged.

Exactly this. Ward having the chin of Froch would probably be the difference to make me pick Ward, although in that case it would be razor-close, and Kovalev would still be marching forward with impunity with no power coming back.

I had a feeling he would do this and your right - the guy is pure class!! I'm a little shocked at how people are under rating him. His talent is there for all to see. Is there a formal Kov vs Ward poll??

Also he get slammed for being boring which i find very unfair. The guys skills are great, and he often takes the fight to his opponent, sadly few have been able to make it a very competitive fight.

He's an American star who has dismantled many a European/foreign star. This is primarily a domestic board so considering the demographic here it comes with the territory.

Ward is a class act and one of the best p4p in the world and one of the handful of fighters who we can say is No1 in their division and has dominated class opponents but because of his inactivity since beating Froch in the Super 6 final,, its almost as if its Carl's achievements since that night 4 years ago that has solidified Andre's status as an all time great SMW,because that one win over Rodriguez is a total waste of talent and not enough

No, but the fact that he's a better fighter than them does.

Plenty of better fighters lose to lesser fighters because though their skills may be superior their chin isn't.

If he gets tagged clean by Kovalev or Beterbiev he is getting knocked out that is how. So though Ward has the better skills, the equalizer is one clean punch from either guy landing on his chin.
