Cotto walks around at 154 last time I checked, he barely was 153 when he faced Geale, does that not make him a Natural Jr MW??

Mayweather Promotions has talked with Pollex, the promoter of - soon - IBO World Champion, Rico Müller. They're interested! Note: Mayweather has never beaten a superior German before. http://www.moz.de/artikel-ansicht/dg/0/1/1403295

I would prefer that FMJ fight Broner than Berto or Mayfield. Yeah, I know.

Check again. For example, look at 30-day weight before the Geale fight.

Not really and so what?? Hopkins is a natural LHW who said he can make 160, is anyone making a big deal of that??

You have no point to prove here at all.
His fighting weight is what is important kbb, hatton used to blow out like a blimp, should he have been considered a LHW, fighting weight is strength

Yes, I understand the difference between fighting weight and natural weight, all I was saying is that GGG is a naturally bigger man than Cotto.

I understand kbb, but if ggg has ko power at 154 and 160, they would be considered his fighting weights, cotto is a natural welterweigh / JMW

Correct, they have about 6 pounds of natural weight difference, while originally KBB was claiming that GGG is a LHW while Cotto is a JMW -- about 20 pounds difference.

In boxing if you have power and can punch then you can punch at just about any weight, look at Hearns. GGG has power and will carry that up with him to 175 if he chooses to go that high.

By the way, in 2002 Golovkin was still fighting at 152 in amateurs meaning that in professionals, he could fight at 147. Cotto was campaigning at 140 at that time. The same one weight class difference.

LOL, you say that I'm the one comparing them when you brought Mayweather into this. GGG got the credit he deserves, and he still does, he is far more hyped than any fighter in the sport right now beating a bunch of average joes. That isn't a knock on him, that's being honest and putting it bluntly.

No fighter is getting more hype than GGG right now, if they are then show me one. Floyd is many levels above GGG and does deserve the right to fight whoever he wants, for years everyone wanted him and Manny to fight but Pacquiao chose to duck out of the fight back in 2010 claiming having blood drawn weakens him but still y'all blame Floyd, he gave y'all the fight you wanted and he won it easily and still no credit.

GGG beats Monroe and people act as if he slayed Klitschko, just listen to how Lampley blows the boy's bone when he's commentating GGG's fights.

Even though Cotto beat Geale, I see no reason to make a big deal out of it when GGG did it before Miguel did but again GGG is a natural LHW that fights at MW whereas Miguel Cotto is a natural Jr MW who fights at MW and he beat the man who came into the ring weighing in excess of 180lbs.

Both of them deserve credit for beating Geale only GGG gets the nod for doing it first but Cotto should get a bid too for being the far smaller man knocking him out in just as devastating a fashion as Golovkin did.
GGG has what? 22 knockouts in a row in the Middleweight Division, not Heavyweight Division, with the truck drivers they have in that division. The streak includes KO"s over your boy Monroe Jr, Murray, Rubio, Geale, Stevens, Macklin and Rosado. These are good boxers.

You can't compare careers between a guy just starting out and a guy just finishing. Look at Floyd's first 33 fights in his career. I'd argue that GGG's faced tougher competition so far than Floyd did. Floyd had the two with Castillo and one with Corrales but the rest was junk like Angel Manfreddy & Emmanuel Augustas (16 losses at the time). 10 of Floyd's first 33 fights were against guys with 5 or more losses, several had over 11 losses.

I'm just as excited as Lampley is about GGG. I don't understand why everyone is not excited about what this kid means to boxing. If you were excited about Floyd at this point in his career then you should be gushing about GGG's. He's fighting better competition and he's winning them all by impressive KO.

GGG's not some mastermind marketing scheme, he's one of the most successful amateur boxers in history. I don't understand how anyone can say anything negative about this kid's career or attitude so far.

So I think he can now take one farewell and enjoy this-one to the fullest. I totally expect him to retire after this, his what, 40.. that's crazy age for Welter.
