You're being totally unfair there. Scott Harrison was a quality operator. Personally behind the scenes he might have been a bit of a nasty piece of work but you can't really judge unless you know him I suppose. Boxing wise I think he actually under achieved because of his personal problems. You don't get to the level he did just by being bigger than the other guy ffs!
I think that's a very good comment. Can't all be Sugar Ray Clay Jones Juniors in this game..no room for them all.
Harrison...going back a bit here aren't we? I don't remember him being a bad fighter. Did Scott Harrison get done by Manual Medina - a 4 time world champ - then beat him in a return to win his belt back?
Yeah mate he lost to Mauel Medina then stopped him in the rematch. I was at both fights. I think he could have achieved a lot more if he stayed on the straight and narrow. Nevertheless he was a fantastic fighter on his game.
I remember Harrison caught me staring at him at T in the Park about 10 years ago, maybe more,it was when he was still world champ but he just gave me a thumbs up and I was well chuffed
He did a lot of paintings lately and hoped to carry on after retirement. He's obviously got more sides to his personality that people see. He's a bit of a hand grenade / enigma.
I'd imagine he has softened a lot in recent years - but if he's done a crime and it's now it's the part where he does the time, then that's how it goes I'm afraid.

Those are surprisingly good - the first one especially - reminds me a bit of Henri Rousseau.

Even more so if you caught a glimpse of "he gave me a thumbs up"

An utterly empty, dreadful little man.
How many world titles you won?
many, many world titles.

I take from your ridiculous accent, string vest and bottle to Iron Brew that you are Scottish?
Scott Harrison "quality operator"? no he wasn't, he was a talentless, empty shambles of a "man" with no boxing skills whatsoever.

Thats a pathetic post. Either your an outright tosser or a troll.
Widely ranked 5th in the world behind JMM, Morales, Barrera, Chi, hardly talentless.
For any fighter to make it to world level, they need something that stands out and is above ordinary, being a run of the mill fighter that does everything well without doing anything brilliantly won't get you there. In Harrison's case that was his ability to drain himself in ways that were completely unhealthy to make weight, then rehydrate and enter the ring with a huge weight advantage over his opponents. Personally I don't particularly consider that a talent.

Yeah, JMM, Barerra, Morales, Chi etc were all lucky Scott was a pisshead...
No, no, I'm out
That ain't what I said. I am in no way inferring Harrison was on a level with JMM, Barrera or Morales! I actually think he would've beaten Chi but that's a matter of opinion. There's no disputing that Harrison's BS outside the ring affected his career and that's the point I was making.

Somewhere there is a village minus their idiot! Get a life you moronic, odious little creep. A debate is a debate but keep your idiotic comments for another forum.

So what about Ricky Burns? I wouldn't say he done anything above the ordinary to be honest but still made the most of his attributes and made it to world level.

Great jab, rock solid chin, massive heart and very fit and strong.
