I thought Frampton boxed well following the first round. There were spells where he looked absolute class but that Gonzalez kid I predict will go on to prove to be pretty damn good.

Not sure about Frampton moving up in weight, he is not the tallest in his present division.

his height isn't the biggest problem, its that his arms are really short even for his height so I agree feather would be really tough for him

I agree though Gary Russel JR is just a bit shorter though has 2 inch reach advantage. Lee Selby is huge compared to Carl.

Yeah he was poor pretty much throughout - his defence & head movement were shocking.

Carl Frampton got the win but was unimpressive. It's not the end of the road by no means. Dropped twice in round 1 by a nobody. Carl had to dig deep to win and fair play to him he could have fell apart after hitting the canvas for the first time. He's surrounded by control freaks and the only big fight experience his coach has is working Carl's fights. Carl is a little gem but his team are a bunch of clowns. Will Carl wait until it's to late to call the shots on his career??? Carl you got one career so you must make the most of it.

Hyde's just pissed off that he's losing Rigo, who got dropped twice himself in his last fight and has fought three times against average opposition since he schooled Donaire over 2 years ago. Obviously he's decided that it's time to call the shots on his career too and getting himself a team that can find him a decent fight.

He looked clumsy and was tagged in ever round by an unheralded bum with a loss and two draws whom was supposed to make him look good.

He looked vulnerable last night, I think he was hurt quite a few other times to the body in particular where he sucked it up and carried on but you could see he was hurt. I do think his opponent was much liver than he anticipated though.

On Frampton's side it was his first time fighting outside of the UK, the travelling far away and being in a fight where he had no fans could have come as quite a culture shock compared to pretty much his whole pro career. Some fighters don't react so well to that, others embrace it.

I wasn't impressed with Frampton but he got the win, terrible opponent in hindsight. Huge reach advantage and first time over there, who picked him?

as much as some people like to believe, the whole world isnt itching to get in on the frampton circle jerk. if he wins he wins, if he loses he loses....just get him in good fights. that's the most i have enjoyed a frampton fight...

I agree, I'm not saying I disagree with the opponent. But he was picked to make Frampton look good in his first outing in the states, and that choice was wrong. I just wonder what they saw in him that they thought would make an easy debut stateside, Avalos would have been a better choice for his first fight over there.

I agreed with 116-108 scores,Frampton was far from his best and took some crisp shots throughout but apart from the knockdowns in the 1st he was still control,I never felt he worked the body enough but still showed glimpses of quality ,Gonzalez Jr fought his heart out and has some set of whiskers but he has to watch they low blows, i wouldn't mind seeing him again
