I'm the only person picking Joshua on points... just think it'll be a really cagey fight and Joshua will want to do some rounds before stepping up to world level (Looks like he'll skip Euro)

I may be grasping at straws, because I want Dillian to win, but I just watched the Cornish fight.... And Gary hit him with some nice jabs. He just didn't have the solidity to compete and after he was dropped, he exchanged rather than get on his bike.

Obviously Dillian is way shorter than Cornish, but oddly he also outjabbed him in their amateur contest.....

I get the feeling that AJ doesn't like pressure, and that's one thing Whyte can bring. Watching the Cornish fight makes me think at this stage Tyson Fury would win. Can Dillian? I hope so, but not sure

Ultra green Joshua in the Worlds final back in 2011. Hates pressure? Can't take a shot? etc etc etc

It's this fight that gives me confidence that such claims no more than just wishful thinking. In the favourites backyard, left it all in there and matched fire with fire when it got tough. Audley Harrison he is not

This was basically the amateur fight that has me convinced he isn't an Audley or Price repeat. Not for a second saying he's gonna be a Lennox Lewis undisputed champ but I think he will deal with Whyte handily. PPV it isn't, but the people saying 'two novice pros,' 'just a British title fight' just are having a laugh. Remove the PPV sh1t and I'm looking forward to this fight and if in some other World Joshua bypassed Whyte there would be absolute outrage from some people on here. The same people that use the quotes I'v mentioned also say 'it does my nut in when people like Joshua and Campbell don't fight for the British....whats that he's fighting for it? gahhhhhhh he should have fought for that on debut! What a c unt!'

I've seen that, but I also know that just a few months earlier Joshua looked uncomfortable under pressure on his way to being hurt and stopped by Nistor. I also think he was clearly hurt in the fight you posted, and though Mago is big hitter plenty have extended him and avoided being stopped in the manner that someone like Savon was. Now I don't think that AJ will prove to be a David Price (who showed far more worrying signs of fragility in the amateurs) or Audley, but the questions about how he responds under fire and manages with that bulk if he's taken rounds (though if he keeps blowing opponents out as he steps up l it may not be much of an issue!) are still very much there for me, and contrary to the believes of certain people this in no way equates to dismissing Joshua or predicting that he'll fall short of expectations.

Also--how many people are stating that AJ hates pressure or that he can't take a shot? Anything more than a small minority?

Nistor fight from earlier that year. Shipped a couple of very big left hooks for each count, the first one he didn't seem too fazed by it, the second one he was still on his feet and looked ok when the ref waved it off. In a pro ring he would have been given the chance to carry on but that was how it was in the ams at the time.
He obviously looks more comfortable with range to work with but again he didn't exactly freeze when under pressure. All whilst being a novice at that level.

Hopefully Whyte can ask him plenty of questions next week.

Doesn't mean anything, and I share just to share, but I had a dream last night that Whyte won by knockout.

I suppose there is a chance Whyte could stun boxing and KO Joshua but i still cant see past an AJ win.i think he's better all round boxer, stiffen up Dillian with some solid jabs then detonate the big right hand, that should do it,Whyte clearly has power of his own but a couple times in fights he's looked average until finding a bomb to finish things, like against Minto last time, whereas IMO Joshua has looked pretty much flawless

Sweet Lord... just watched 1.46 of the press conference. Cringe! It's like a parody.... is buffer getting senile? He stutters and chews his way through his lines, can't even remember match room orEddie's name and starts sentences without finishing them grammatically. The brown nose and name dropping towards Eddie Hearn is pathetic.

Buffer should spend less money on plastic surgery and more on drugs for Alzheimer's

Well if it happens cutting to a shot of Eddie Hearn's face will be worth the PPV money all on its own.

There are reports that DW is tough, and has a longer reach than AJ. I going for AJ early DW after 6.

If he avoids getting blown out early & takes it to rounds six or seven, and proves to be a decent fighter, there could be an upset.
With all that bulked up muscle he's carrying, AJ could well prove to be a liability in the stamina department...

Whyte's been acting like a dick in this build up,seems like he's jealous of Joshua's name and rep,has the cheek to criticise Anthony about drugs when he's been caught cheating twice AND he says AJ's worried??

Plus all this offering Joshua outside and telling him he'll come looking for him afterwards,he's painting himself as the villian, not Eddie and Sky

Seems to me that Team Whyte are not particularly confident.

Malik Scott calling out AJ at the press conference, Banks failing to find any positives beyond "Joshua has more to lose", Whyte desperate to settle things outside the ring...

He could always catch Joshua with a perfect shot and knock him out, but I think they're very much aware that Dillian doesn't have the skill to keep Joshua off him long enough for him to tire like Bruno
