When Yafai is boxing in Birmingham they should not have a Brummmy judge.

TheCobra wrote:Macklin vs Welborn - That is one of the most biased commentaries I have ever heard on any fight. Smith was clearly scoring for his mate Macklin and that other commentator Halling is woeful, I've said what i think about Halling many a time but that has just really annoyed me. I had to come on here and say my piece.

I actually had Welborn winning that fight by 1 round, which with the point deduction would make it a draw. They totally ignored Welborn's shots, apparently they were ALL hitting gloves!! Smith you wanker, I'm glad that prat doesn't come on this forum any more as he wouldn't like what he's reading here.

Macklin to me looks shot to poo, Welborn wobbled him badly a couple of times and that second body shot wasn't even low, it was on the protector which Macklin was wearing high anyway!! The time that macklin took showed that he was really hurt to the body and to be honest I think it's time for him to pack it in. Timing off again, looks sluggish and basically that was an epic sturggle against someone he would have previously got out of there.

But apparently to paul Smith it's more or less a whitewash scorecard. Can't believe what I've just seen!!
Totaly agree mate, even during the rounds they only showed macklin work

Cunningham looks like he's wanting to build his confidence step by step, a difficult gameplan against someone as good as Yafai

I don't think Kal has got out of 2nd gear yet though.

Yeah gulf in class between these two is apparent and Kal isn't doing anything too tiring himself.

Cunningham's corner: 'Stick to the game plan?'

Loving Halling making out that this is just becoming a mismatch.....like it wasnt when it was made??

Yafai taunting the boy at the end of the last round was pathetic. Not like he's just gone toe toe for 3 mins with La Motta. Classless walloper.

"If Cunningham's plan is to break him down later in the fight, he needs to start showing something" - Paul Smith

Yeah, like you did against Andre Ward.

He needs something desperate to happen. These are long and painful rounds for Cunningham.

Punch after the bell this time and more taunting, if IJL had a pair of balls he'd have taken a point off.

Acting like a twat again there.

Yafai is a good fighter but he is a nob head, all the after bell stuff is no good.

Ultimately anyone with a chance of beating Yafai would have wiped the floor with Jason Booth last year. Have to give Cunnigham credit for staying in there though.

Kal Yafai needs a BIG step up in his next fight or his career goes more stagnant.

Kal has come across as a right nob after rounds. Let's see what he is like when he is in with a world level superfly. It's well overdue.

I don't like the taunting by Yafai, I'll be cheering for Zolani Tete if they fight.

He's just a bit of a pudendum, far too good for Cunningham but Tete would do similar to him with a knockout thrown in.
