Worst "pick" you ever made?

He was superb doing what he needed to do to win.
Floyds best performance for me was against Corrales, amazing that night. He was superb against Canelo, and his win against Marquez is underrated.

Clev to beat Kovolov
And I was forever picking felix Trinidad to get knocked out ...until I gave up, then of course he did get knocked out

Re: Worst "pick" you ever made?
I banged a fair amount of money on Harrison to beat price by Ko and then after his prizefighter display did the same bloody thing when he fought wilder. Heart ruling head that one

Sounds like you've also backed against him as well.davie wrote:Not the first time Salido has been backed to loseIRLangmaid25 wrote:The immediate standout for me was that I thought Juanma Lopez would beat Orlando Salido.

I fancied Ruenroeng to beat Shiming but tipped Zou in the prediction league ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

I fancied Hatton to win that too.

I once claimed that Chris Eubank would keep his name the same forever.

I also picked Benn against Collins. Was betting purely with my heart
Re: Worst "pick" you ever made?
Oh there's been more than a couple...A few recent ones as well.
Cleverley to beat Fonfara
Martinez to beat Quigg
Burns to beat Zlaticanin
Haye to beat Klitschko

I thought that too. That fight took place when I was still in secondary school, and I was a big Tyson fan when I was a kid - I never really liked Lewis, and I desperately wanted to see Tyson win with a big KO victory.FrozenMixedVegtables wrote:Shot Tyson to KO Lewis early.

I did the same with Pacquaio vs Mayweather... Put money on Pacman - pure heart over head that one.big lennox wrote:I also picked Benn against Collins. Was betting purely with my heart

No,
Just referring to him being used as the easy championship win for boxings first gay world champion, then for the quickest world title win (Orlando Cruz and Vasyl Lomachenko respectively)
Both times he ripped up the script.
Re: Worst "pick" you ever made?
I remember for some reason, picking Clifford Etienne over Mike Tyson.
Yeah, I know...

Re: Worst "pick" you ever made?
Povetkin to not only knock out Klitschko but I even called a double left hook in the 5th round
to do it.
I had a dream before the fight and was convinced it was going to happen.
Hatton and Oscar to both beat Pacquiao.I just thought they were too big and strong for him.
I was 100% certain that Cooney was going to destroy Holmes.
I picked Hearns over Hagler
Shavers over Quarry
Dadgumit I have a long line of terrible picks
to do it.

I was the same. Think I rember saying that they shouldn't be in the same ring!! Oh dearGlobalBox wrote:Told everyone who would listen and invested heavily on Maccarinelli/McPhilbin, this fight cannot go the distance.
I still sit sometimes in a darkened room with a beer in my hand and even though the fight has been over for 3 years, I still think it's not
going the distance.
It haunts me.

I thought Burns did beat Zlaticanin to be fair. He was better than I thought though. I was stunned after that knockdown!Crease wrote:Oh there's been more than a couple...A few recent ones as well.

I've had so many 'prophetic' dreams about boxing and based my picks on them, don't think one has ever actually come truetiny_acres wrote:Povetkin to not only knock out Klitschko but I even called a double left hook in the 5th round

Two of those picks not that bad really - Cleverly fought a good first half until the nose break and I felt Burns probably shaded that fight anyway despite looking poorCrease wrote:Oh there's been more than a couple...A few recent ones as well.

Don't blame you for that one, I thought the same thankfully never put that much on Collazo!

Kessler to dominate Ward & the super 6 as a whole.
Couldn't see past Cotto against Pacman, believed he would break him down and stop him late.... go figure.
