I really can't get excited about this fight. I am convinced AJ will steam roller him in 2-3 rounds. The PPV's I really like are the stacked cards even if there isn't an outstanding headline. The one where Selby won the IBF belt, alongside mitchell and others was brilliant. The problem is, I'm a sports whore and if I am in that night I will buy this PPV.

Boycotting the PPV won’t do any good – you need to actually boycott Sky Sports, and tell them exactly why when you cancel. Sky need to see they are actually losing revenue from this.

I cancelled Sky Sports months ago. Now when I fancy watching boxing for an evening its either on allegedly or the occasional Sky PPV. Costs far less overall than a monthly Sky Sports subscription.

People get called “mugs” on here for buying a PPV, but in my opinion the real mugs are the plebeian hordes who pay a vast monthly sum to watch a bunch of overpaid perverts run around a football pitch.

I cant completely agree with this logic. The number of pure boxing fans that buy subscription to watch only boxing is tiny. Whether they unsubscribe or not wont make much difference for Sky. Eddie have said many times that the boxing is not a subscription driver. The proportion of these among ppv buyers though is higher. It might not be high enough to force the change of the strategy but I think boycotting ppv should make a bigger impact on Skys bottom line. To be sure though, why dont you boycott both and go rogue. D

It's incredible that they have had the audacity to put this on PPV. I remember about 10 years ago when we used to see fights way better than this one on normal Sky Sports and when PPV was restricted in almost all cases to world title fights involving elite level fighters.

For example Sky regularly showed Froch and Haye on normal Sky when they were fighting at a level way above this. In fact all of Froch's fights up until Kessler 2 were, I believe, on normal Sky Sports. All of Haye's cruiserweight fights were on normal Sky Sports apart I think from Mormeck and Maccarinelli which were on Setanta.

It is really only since Eddie Hearn has come on the scene that we are being served up utterly substandard PPVs. I realise that Warren used to have the odd poor PPV but usually those fights involved either a world championship fight or were combined with a huge show from across the pond. I think the only PPVs as bad as this that I can remember outside the Hearn era were the Khan v Salita and Khan v Prescott ones.

I don't begrudge anyone making g a living but resent having the piss took.

Comparing what we know about the two cards - this Saturday's effort is a much better bill (Perez-Crolla, Jenkins-Nurse, couple of decently matched English title fights etc). Thankfully I have plans for December 12th so won't be tempted.

This card is the sort of thing they put on PPV when they were building up Herbie Hide as a build up to a Tyson fight in the states not as the PPV card of the evening. It's just become a massive rip off now and doesn't seem to be any stopping them now

That was a great card thought and this isn't even that good like another poster out what we are getting on Saturday in Sky Sports one is better.

The problem with May 30th though is loading that card made most of the year poor on sky so it should not have been PPV the fights should have been spread out.

Hearn just adding fighters from hus bestselling towns...hull Liverpool Leeds london. And irish with ryan and spike. ...adds a pole becaise our country is flooded with them.....this will be a huge ppv success. ..and I hate to say it

the bigger picture is that every Joshua card from Whyte onwards will be ppv!

This will already be the 4th time Joshua has fought on PPV. Building a prospect the matchroom way!

Eddie's missed a trick here. 2 world title fights and 2 british title fights on sat night and it's not ppv?

Joshua beated more top 100 opponends as Deontay Wilder for example, I can't name anyone out of England who's better then Anthony Joshua, not even Tyson Fury.

perhaps that why they dropped the " People's champion " moniker , as most folk won't have a scooby who he is .
