Generous to say the least, well, surprised it was wide

9-3 x2
Bad cards.
DeGale won but barely. Dude is annoying. Would never beat Ward with these lapses. Fortunately for him he won't have to fight him.

I'm shocked at those scores. Not because they were wide, i had it 116-112, because it was wide in canada..

I thought it was closer but my guess would be DeGales accuracy likely won him the wider decision because Bute did miss a bit more often than some may care to mention.

Bute would've taken the titles off Jack tonight, no doubt.

had it a draw, but more close round went to bute.
I could see degale getting it but was hard to see bute getting the W.
great fight, happy that Bute put a good performance. He looked almost like he was in his prime.

Nice fight , Degale won no doubt , natural talent , accurate puncher , good movement . Bute had his moments just not enough of them . I daresay Bute is back in the top ten mix at 168 .
Looking forward to Degale in the future , he is a pleasure to watch .

Rofl yeah I'm sure Ward is worried about Chunky, I guess Ward must be scared shitless of Groves then too lol. It's amazing the information we find at the bottom of the bottle.

Ward's done nothing in years.
He probably is scared of any decent contender.

Maybe Dre will trash another overrated Brit with one hand like he has before. Since that's apparently what scared guys do lol. You guys have some delusional pact or something? Sorry, Chunky couldn't beat Ward with a bat.

No he's going near light heavyweights instead. He has vacated the craptastic 168 lb division.

Really ? He hasn't been within 10 feet from any LHW. He wanted to fight a 40-year old SMW journeyman.

Nah bruh, HBO just signed him to a 3-fight contract so he can have fights in his bedroom with his bird.

Like many people, you believe in urban legends. In Canada, the boxing matches are properly juged. It may happen once in a while contested decisions, but they are generally fairly judged. Not like in Germany.
Good fight by the way. And Bute is proved he's not washed up, yet. He might never win a belt again, but he showed he still can be a good opponent for prospects in the future.
As for Degale is concerned, he is a good boxer, but I was not expect him going backward as he did in the fight. Agains a Andre Ward of this world, he would have lost the fight.

I wanna see Bute against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. next. It would be a good action fight. :)
