Wouldn't really call him a mate just someone I trained alongside from time to time, but your right about the good stories I love the unknown stuff you sometimes come across on here :TU:

I think Smith won a lot of money in a national lottery on the same evening as he was going to box, and stopped boxing right on the spot.

I boxed on a pro dinnershow in Leicester in about 98 when one half of the main event didn't show cos he won about 150 grand on the lottery !
