The prices were extortionate, although I did here that some tickets for the Cardiff night were selling for £55. I don't know if that's true.
I wouldn't have paid a tenner to go and see him sat on a stage, but always said to some mates that were intending to go that it would get cancelled. I just had that feeling.
The whole thing with the Bristol date being cancelled as well is really questionable. Is it the case that to make it worth his while the events need to be sold out? I don't know how much the venues are to hire out but I'm guessing it isn't that cheap.
£300 plus might be reasonable to people in that London, but where I live that's ridiculous.
My theory is anywhere that hasn't sold out will get cancelled.

I doubted these events would happen when I saw the prices. £300 is a fortune, even for those of us who live in "that London".

He makes 7 figures in interest alone every month. Why the feck would he bother?

He was in Belgium Saturday and is in London now.
The Bristol show and Cardiff show were cancelled by the venues following protests from women feminist groups.

Another one struggling with ticket sales, switched to a smaller venue and there's still 100 tickets left.

He's a truly amazing boxer but if it looked like rain I'd not walk from the living room to the kitchen to listen to him speak. He's a tiresome bore.

Parsons, if you were advising someone thinking of bringing him over in the future, what would you say?

I had to read that twice over, and yeah I think that's the only conclusion you can draw.

Yeah once you've heard him talk one time you've pretty much heard all he has to say. Same old regurgitated crap. Spending a small fortune to listen to him blow his own trumpet? I'd rather squat on a cactus!

Made me laugh when he said he's here to give something back to his fans in the UK!
Yeah definitely doing it out of the goodness of your heart at those prices Floyd!

Exactly! You could probably get a decent family holiday for the same price as it would cost to sit and listen to him bore on for an evening!

Yep I wouldn't pay to feed this man's ego. He's a bore without a personality.

I agree - I wouldn't watch one of his fights never mind pay to listen to him spout shite about how wonderful he is.
I wouldn't mind if he turned up dressed as a cartoon character and proceeded to do a few karaoke songs or something, but I would imagine it would more likely go along the lines of "look at my watch it cost 50 grand" or "here is a picture of my car - it cost 500 grand" blah blah blah.

I've never heard him talk too much about his early family life, how he extracted himself from Bob Arum, his relationship with Al Haymon and his plans for Mayweather Promotions.
He did last night.
Mickey - speaking generally about these mega stars rather than specifically Mayweather I would always say read the fine print, get a good negotiator and be prepared to be disappointed personally and financially - but if it comes off all well and good.

Is there alot of security around him, and do you get your body checked, before meeting with him? Just asking.

I saw a bit on the news where he said TMT would be putting on a show a month in Britain. Does he have any other Brit fighters signed to his team? Only one I know of is Ashley Theophane. Will it be some sort of joint venture with another promoter?

Newsflash from March 2016 wrote:Former world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather is recovering in hospital after being viciously assaulted at a signing. The boxing star was extolling the virtues of "Hard work, dedication & bitch-slapping" when a recalcitrant fan pushed his way past the other two thug wannabes in attendance & flung himself at the pugilist's diamond-encrusted training shoes, drew a nailgun which he had secreted about his person & nailed Mayweather's feet to the floor, before melting back into the sparse "crowd". Reports indicate that police are baffled as to the motive behind the attack: "The problem is the absolutely vast number of leads we have to go on. Mayweather's so basically unappealing, this could have been carried out by absolutely anyone at all in the entire world," said PC Bastard, the cuntstable leading the investigation. "The motivation's there. Fvck, it could've even been me. I mean, it wasn't, but you would, wouldn't you, if you thought you could get away with it? I would." Reports indicate that the police were reduced to trawling Internet boxing message boards for clues, but hold little hope of finding anything via this method of inquiry.
