Why on earth the IBF stripped Fury is beyond me. They acted far to quickly given Fury and Wlad are now activating the rematch clause you'd THINK the IBF would be ok with the NEW champion facing the Former Champion as in the bloke he just won it off in a rematch. By stripping Fury they now land themselves a weaker Champion and are looked at as a lesser title because of it.

I don't think it was that silly. A little humorous maybe but there's some truth there. A lot of fine athletes didn't make it to the top, or didn't stay on top for very long because they're injury prone.

What's ludicrous would be ruling fights no contest because of an injury. Should Ali-Liston 1 be a no contest because a doctor said there was a tear in Sonny's shoulder? Gee, Odlainier Solis may still be undefeated. He gets injured in almost every important fight.

Couldn't agree with you more that this was no title fight. Having said that, I'd rather Glaskov fought Martin than Glaskov fight Stacey Frazier and Martin fight Byron Polley which are more common matchups.
