Same here, really looking forward to it. Think I'll watch Eubank v Blackwell live, watch the Brook fight straight after, then watch the Ward fight first thing Sunday morninghandsofstone wrote:Boxerbeetle wrote:I keep thinking this is on tomorrow night as today has felt like a Friday, bank holiday weekends are confusingMe too,i had a rough weekend last week so im looking forward to just chilling watching the boxing on saturday, should be some good scraps

People have places to go and things to do. Those two could have stood like that for another few minutes, which is boring for everybody.Realistic wrote:Security should Back the F off!! Hope you're right mate. I have high hopes for this fight. As you say, Eubank will probably have too much for Blackwell but they can both take a dig and are as game as they come. All the ingredients for a right good contest. I'm going to watch Brook and record this and start watching straight after Brook.Loftgroov wrote:Should be a good tear up. Both have shown pretty decent chins.
Jnr probably has too much class, but Blackwell a very live opponent.
Eubank TKO 9
Show starts at 21.40 on five so probably ten(ish) mate.tigermoth87 wrote:Anyone know when the fights due to start? Gotta set my alarm for it to get up early.

Its on for 2 hours 35 mins so presuming they'll show atleast one or two of the undercard fights on before itStuarty30 wrote:Show starts at 21.40 on five so probably ten(ish) mate.tigermoth87 wrote:Anyone know when the fights due to start? Gotta set my alarm for it to get up early.
Ah, cheers. I've just had a google. It seems the Hughie fight is going to be televised. The standard is giving a start time of 10:30 so I'll get up around then, give me an extra bit of time in bed.afcmarshall wrote:Its on for 2 hours 35 mins so presuming they'll show atleast one or two of the undercard fights on before itStuarty30 wrote:Show starts at 21.40 on five so probably ten(ish) mate.tigermoth87 wrote:Anyone know when the fights due to start? Am I missing something with Eubank? Keep seeing people giving Blackwell no chance at all and saying Eubank will stop him. I wouldn't be particularly confident of Golovkin getting Blackwell out of there inside 6 rounds, this is more or less 50-50 to me, Eubank is nothing special at all. No jab, terrible footwork, defence is poor, doesn't exactly have a great ring IQ and is mostly limited to swinging wildly as he comes forward. Took him 7 rounds to stop Spike and that was on a burst eardrum in the corner after Spike stood in front of him with his hands down for most of the fight and Eubank hit him with everything but the kitchen sink.Dixonian wrote:Will be a lively fight but Eubank's a level above. Blackwell will have success during Eubank's lazy moments but then he'll go through the gears and stop him around 6.
Not often we agree is it.expe wrote:Am I missing something with Eubank? Keep seeing people giving Blackwell no chance at all and saying Eubank will stop him. But yeah I think if Blackwell and Spike were to box that Blackwell would be a clear winner. I think he hits much harder and has a better workrate. He may not be the finest of boxers but that workrate and power will put Jr under a lot more pressure than Spike managed to. I'm not at all sold on Jr's power either and I thought he looked to be breathing pretty hard after 6 rounds against Spike. Like I say I think if Blackwell can put on consistent pressure that he can get to Eubank late on as Blackwell does have a habit of keeping his pressure going late into a fight. I do expect Blackwell to be a way behind after 6 rounds tho.
not many do that to Blackwell , will have to be something special from juniorDixonian wrote:Will be a lively fight but Eubank's a level above. Blackwell will have success during Eubank's lazy moments but then he'll go through the gears and stop him around 6.
