Well, I'll concede fight fans, on the whole, don't really appreciate Lewis' intimidation factor --- they see fear-inducing auras as the exclusive domain of a Foreman, or, better yet, a Liston (with Tyson & Dempsey being two other sterling examples at Heavyweight). Truth is, Lewis intimidated a great many of his contemporaries. A big man with a monster right hand & an extended stay at the top of the Heavyweight class? Yeah, he was more intimidating than most fans realise.
That said, he's a softly-spoken fellow, with a questionable chin & a scholar's demeanour (& ferocity, for the most part). Not so much a criticism of Lewis, or your choice, I just think if you can pick any fighter, ever, Lewis would surely have to be way, way down on the list.
How about your reasoning, now? Is it his size which grabs you?

Mostly the size. It would be funny to see a couple guys go after "the guy with the British accent" and get dropped.

Monzon was a bad guy, seriously. To say nothing of Liston's reputation

If I just wanted to feel safe and avoid trouble it'd be Valuev.
If I really wanted to beat up somebody (for example some big steroid-pumped arrogant dork) and surprise/humiliate them on top, I'd take little Pacman with me

Eamon Magee would be a good guy to have along for a scrimmage.

George Foreman, Ernie Shavers, Kimbo Slice and Rocky Marciano, Tommy Hearns...
THEN, little old me.

Jabs aren't allowed in your street fights I assume?
Also, I'm surprised no one wants the President to back them up.

Ibeabuchi would seem like a nice person to have in a street fight.
Hopkins would do good as well, according to him he went 50-0 on some corner with 50 knockouts.
I know who I wouldn't want having my back; Oba Carr I recall reading about him getting beat up by a 15 year old after one of his matches.

All the while with mayorga talkin' trash.
That's funny
Mayorga with his chicken drumstick a-la that weigh in session.
Yeah I'd say those two or Benn. Wouldn't wanna fck with Eubank either truth be told...hell you could go on with a list like that into the night and all the next day, good topic

I wouldn't be afraid to go ANYWHERE with Fedor Emelianenko.
If I couldn't have him get my back I would take Jack Bauer.

Wow Collins I didn't realize you had such a vast knowledge, it's not everyone that know's how Tony Rea made his living outside the ring. Great choice Collins, he kept Glasgow's 'finest' both safe and in-tow, depending on which side of his employment you were on of course!

Hey hey. After 9 years lets bring it back. A topic like this never gets old. For some reason I cant find the list i made on the original post so I forget who I first picked.
But anyway.
David Tua is my all time number one pick.
Followed closely by
Charlie Zelenoff

Kimbo Slice considering he made his name by street fighting or Tyson.
