The problem is all too often it's the reverse, endless parping about what they'll do to their opponent, and then a dull lifeless fight.

I don't care what happens in the press conference and build up, so long as the fight is exciting. Never mind all the cock teasing, it's the blowjob that counts. In an ideal world, a great bit of cock teasing followed by a world class noshing off, but of the two, I'd settle for the latter all day long.

Fury was continually fighting opponends that were just a very very tiny bit less good as he was. He usually was the favorit, but it was allways a challenge. If you look at Deontay Wilder for example, his first 25 opponends were absolute crab, there was no reason to make those fights except for making his record look better at first sight. Also, please note that Cunningham was on the top of his carreer, Fury was just a newcomer. You could simply see Fury learning during the fight.

Also, please note that Cunningham wasn't the only one who KD Tyson Fury, Tyson has been on the ground more often.

The biggest lesson Tyson learned against USS Steve was not to go into fights without Uncle Peter around. He acted and fought even crazier than usual.

I think there's a difference in Fury cheating in a hard fight, and punching after the bell/sticking your tongue out when you're clearly on top in an easy fight. Not saying which is worse, just that they're different.

I think the British public see a young prospect, and just do the typical; 'He's the one!' David Price is a prime example, who clearly has some excellent attributes (his punching power for one), but was offset by his chin. When he was knocking them all out inside 3 rounds, people clearly got excited, but that's because nobody had punched him back at that point. AJ is currently the same, but just 1-2 steps further than Price. We're all waiting for his first real test, but every test so far he's come through. He may not meet a real test until he meets Fury/Haye, but at 16 fights in, you're hardly going to be wishing that fight on him. Either way, the tests will come, and probably in the next 12-18 months.

The English tell us they'll win everything. Us Scots not only know we're sh1t, we sometimes take pride in it. The furthest we go bigging ourselves up is telling people we're going to qualify for tournaments (and still fall short)

In fact the same could be said in boxing.

AJ hasn't fought anyone as good as Thompson or Teper yet, so he hasn't really proven that he is better than Price.

Joshua's IBF trinket is close to meaningless considering how very, very poor the champion he beat was.
