Why is it that before sporting events they play the national anthem? Yet hardly at any other time? How do you know I am an American??
I have no idea whether you are American or not, the announcer didn't specify that only Americans should stay on their feet for the anthem. I was trying to take the piss as I personally find national anthems abhorrent and find the necessity to play them at sporting events in the States a bit strange.
