Personally I dont think Fury will be the same boxer again, i hope im wrong as a fight against Johsua at Wembley would be a fantastic event to go to and I would dearly love to see this at Wembley. Im guessing if Fury does come back he will get a shot at AJ as im sure this fight would generate a tonne of money.
I can see AJ knoking him out in 3 or 4 rounds.
It will be good while it lasts.

Robinson threw loads against Hamed but didn't touch him, same would have happened if klit could have got closer to the king. So didn't really make any difference what the klit did he just got beat by the better fighter.

Not sure why you've quoted a post which I wrote in May
Edit: also, referring to Tyson as 'the king' indicates you might be slightly biased!

I completely agree. Manic depression ain't easy, especially as (I'm told) he won't take the meds. The booze, the coke, the lack of motivation, the failed drugs tests and the lack of a British boxing licence. If and it's a big IF, he can find a way through all of those things, how good will he be when he come out of the other side?

I don't know about that one . He had obviously been battling his demons for a long time ,i'd say as early as the first Mcdermott fight the signs were there to see and he just about managed to keep a handle on things , maybe he can turn things around mentally , but I do agree with the fact that he may never regain the sort of physical condition needed to compete at the top .

Winding AJ up in order to put him off the win me thinks. Fury wants to keep his mantle, I'm sure. I think an AJ win could be the difference between Tyson coming back or not, for which reason I'm backing the humble one. It's a fight the world needs in my opinion.

i generally think Tyson fury would box Joshuas head off
i really don't think Joshua has shown anything even remotely close that would suggest he could best Tyson
Aj is never going to steam roll Tyson out of there he won't be there sticking his chin out to dry I think he would be all over Joshua like a cheap suit, pot shotting him all night all the way to a UD

Joshua takes fury out imo
Fury a problem, he's massive, biggest reach, and fights unorthodox. It's a problem for any opponent. But Joshua's arsenal would take him down imo.
His footwork gets a lot of criticism on here but it's way over the top. He's not on his toes like fury, but he plants his feet to land hurtful punches. Fury could probably put a bit more on his if he sat down on them, but he's only really about touching that jab out and dancing. When Wlad did finally commit though fury was holding on late in that fight. Fury hasn't become Cassius clay. But he's not gonna be easy to hit from the first bell.
Anyone who questions Joshua's engine is making assumptions. Simply it hasn't been tested. There's no evidence he's gassed. When he has gone past 5 it's at his own pace as he's on top. The Whyte fight showed him heavy legged not cos he had gassed, he'd been tagged causing his legs to stiffen a bit. When his senses cleared he was well in control again and the fitness looked there to me.
The trouble with fury fans is they're extremists. As in fury is loved by respectable rivals hated. It makes for unrealistic debates. Not saying all that picked fury are like this, but the fury fans are clear to pick out.
Joshua's hand speed putting combinations together is a real problem I this match up for fury. He gets stopped

all very credible points about Joshua, but against terrible opposition, and Joshua may plant his feet but thats not going to help him if he can't land clean on Tyson which i don't think he will be able to.
and i've never really found Joshuas hand speed to be blistering tbh, but another thing for me is is even if he is powerful and a bit quicker than some, his punch varitey isn't very good, its predictable. while its obvious Tyson is no Clay, i think he could work out the form of Joshua,
its all ifs and buts, and we will never ever know until they actually box, which might never happen, but i just think Fury has a lot mor than Joshua does but its a problem for Fury the longer he is out of proper training and the ring definitely

If the fight was made after Joshua's next fight and Fury wasn't back to fighting shape then I would have to give it to AJ without much thought on the fight.
But if Fury got back into shape, had a decent warm up bout to prove he's still got all the skills that took him to the world title level in the first place, then it could very well go his way.

Then again, Fury didn't show anything that suggested he would beat Klitschko, but he did in pretty comfortable fashion.
So far Joshua has made some B level fighters look very ordinary. I know people are not overly impressed by that, but it's credible in my opinion. Firstly he knocks Whyte in 7, a guy who is now gatekeeper level, and may well manufacture his own world title shot in the next 12 months. Secondly he makes absolute mincemeat of Molina in 2, who took Wilder 9, whom he gave a genuine wobble. And then he breaks down a very durable Breazeale in 7, who may be a lot more solid than we gave him credit for. He just beat powerful prospect Ugonoh in 5 bludgeoning rounds, and could go on to make another world title shot happen soon (Not in chronological order).
I'm not saying these wins are earth shattering. It's the manner of the victories. The fact he has taken one shot genuine shot in 18 fights. That he's won every round, barring one, in 18 fights. The fact he's made B level fighters look like D level fighters. We will go on to learn a lot more in Joshua's next few fights, but from what he has shown so far, I am extremely encouraged.
