If GGG landed 1/4 of liver shots Vanes landed yesterday, Lara would be laying on canvas and not getting up.
true. but at least the fight would last longer than 8 rds
I don't know if it would. I think GGG could potentially take out Lara around the 5th or 6th round. I don't think he'd be interested in letting Lara stay in the fight long because Lara would bore the people, and not provide much action. So GGG would just kick his ass and give the people the Big Drama Show they came to see.

I agree. 3G would cutoff the ring on Lara and walk through anything he threw, ending it in 5 or less, imo.

just like the bigger stronger than lara canelo did cuf off and walk him down. it aint this easy, lara is athleticly on another level, yes, i do believe ggg beats lara, but it sure as hell wouldnt be easy.

I think it'd be easy for him. Lara's too passive. GGG would eat him up

Canelo couldn't cut off a ring with scissors.

+1.

Comparing GingerHead's footwork to 3G's is akin to comparing a two year old's ability to walk with a healthy five year old's - no comparison.

GGG could beat Lara but it will be very ugly! Lara has a way of lulling opponents to sleep then potshotting them he's a ring master he doesn't run he

stays right in the pocket and gets you to fight at his tempo. GGG wants no part of Lara! Lara is the same as Rigo, Ward, and Floyd

It's one of those where a defensive fighters skill and movement don't come into it much. As I don't honestly think he has the dig to deter GGG from walking through him.
I reckon once GGG realises he can walk through him he backs him up and hurts him. Maybe gives Lara a few free shots in the 3rd/4th round before dropping him hard

Having said all the above fellas, Willie Monroe had a similar skillset to Lara and he managed to last a while at least. I wouldn't put it past Lara to go 8 maybe

GGG was carrying Monroe like Canelo did with Khan.

I think 3G did more carrying than GingerHead.

I wouldn't put it past Lara to go 8, but do you see him standing and trading like Monroe did? Because that's what kept WM in the fight; he got dropped and had little success when he tried hitting and running in the first two.

Vanes Martirosyan is a raw swinger and wide open to hit. Reminds me a little of Robert Guerrero without the jab. The fact that VM won 4 rounds off Lara and the decision drew a lot of booing shows you Lara is far from the all-time boxing master some try to make of him. I'm not sure he's best 154-pounder but I had him beating Canelo 116-112.. His offense is very smooth but he can't mount an attack behind the jab like GGG.. He couldn't get Delvin Rodriguez out and Cotto destroyed Rodriguez quickly.. Lara waits.. Fights with Jermall Charlo or Demetrius Andrade would go to the cards with a lot of drama.. Unlike "No Doubt Trout" where you know AT lost - there would be a LOT of doubt before the decision was announced.

GGG would clean Lara out within 3 to 5 rounds. He wouldn't fuk around like Canelo. He'd trap him in a corner and rip him apart. Lara is 5'9" and he's a weak hitter. He's never fought a Middleweight. Jermall is HUGE for 154. He's a Middleweight. But FIRST he should move up to Caneloweight and beat the crap out of the Cinnamon Kid. I also think Lara deserves a rematch with Canelo. Lara can't expect to win 8 rounds and get the decision vs Canelo.. He needs 10 or 11 rounds and he needs to back Canelo up.. Canelo style judges take points for boxing and moving.

I think Canelo will go after Jermell who has the WBC belt which is more prestigious for Mexicans. Besides, IBF enforces mandatories, and we know how Canelo hates that.

well if anyone needs to prove anything its canelo. But GGG in my opinion beats Lara. GGG has all the belts other than the WBO and the ring title (which isn't really that big of a title to be fair more of a carry around than a championship). We all want GGG vs Canelo its the best fight in middleweight boxing easy!

Jermell is a PBC fighter. Not going to happen.

I hope not. Jermell is too weak for Canelo. He was loading everything is this fight because Jackson has a glass chin. Jackson was a gimme fight for a vacant title. On paper a terrible fight which turned out to be more interesting than anyone expected because Jackson boxed. I was laughing because Jackson was doing really well. JJ crossed him up by boxing. Betting on Jermell was supposed to be like taking candy from a baby but he managed to scare the pants off Jermell bettors by taking his time putting JJ out...just like Canelo did with Khan.. I hate Canelo vs Jermell at Caneloweight.. I love Jermall vs Canelo at Caneloweight.

That's the point. I'm not sure if people are just grasping at straws to support Canelo's excuses.

Boxing has weight divisions for a reason. Lara has never fought at MW so that disqualifies him until he does. Canelo is a MW but has never fought a MW either he may have fought very good smaller fighters but they can't be compared to GGG's MW opponents.

Roman Gonzalez is better than anyone Canelo has beaten so if GGG fights and beats him does that mean that Canelo has to earn his shot by beating a better P4P boxer?

If Angulo can put Lara down hard twice is it so much of a stretch to imagine Golovkin somehow managing to do the same at a heavier weight?

Yes willie monroe, wade, ishida, macklin, rubio, lemuix, moroccon bum.

Are all better than Lara, Floyd, Cotto, shiit even lil khan is better and Angulo are more accomplished than the bums ggg has faced.

The Lemieux "bum" would beat a crap out of Angulo, Lara, Cotto and Khan. Murray would beat Angulo, Cotto and Khan. Monroe, Wade, Ishida, Macklin and Rubio would all beat Khan and have good chances against Angulo and Cotto.

More importantly, it is all about timing. If Lara's team contacted Loefler before they signed to fight Monroe, I am pretty sure that Lara would get his shot.

Now Golovkin has Jacobs, Saunders and Eubank Jr to pick from. Why would he consider Lara ???
