I remember seeing Flores commentate for a few years before actually watching him fight, i wasn't overly impressed, I think Bellew is a far better boxer,he'll still be buzzing coming off the Makabu win and Flores has failed both times he's stepped in the ring with anybody with a pulse,Flores might last the distance but I can see Tony hurting him a few times to see him hanging on

Said it before about Flores, he's the american Martin Murray. Will never do enough to win proper big fights and always fall short.

Z
Disagree as Martin Murray pushed goods fighters.
He is more the American Paul smith as he has a world title opportunity for just beating a few journeymen

Ya, Flores isnt really a just fall short type, as he has nothing equivalent to Murray fighting very closely with Martinez, Sturm, and AA, nor has he extended a P4P level fighter longer than anyone else has.
He will continue to lose if he keeps getting these kind of fights though.

Body beautiful Boomer was his usual charming self. Flores seemed very keen to avoid confrontation, leaving pretty quickly. As this seemed to wind up Boomer even more, probably wasn't a bad tactic.

When did Flores fight very competitively with top opposition like Murray did several times? Murray is well known as a 'just missed it' man (though at least drew with Sturm), while the best Flores has done is 4 rounds against Shumenov.
Of course they've both failed to win their biggest fights, so there's some similarity, but there are enough differences that I wouldn't consider them analogues.

No amount of hype, bullshit chat from Bellew and Hearn will change what this fight is.
Low quality for a supposed world title fight. Flores shouldnt be fighting for a "world title" and Bellew is a very average strap holder.
Hearn must be great to work 'for'! Good luck to Bellew though, he is earning good dough and getting great exposure.

Agreed. I'm only watching because it's straight after Campbell against Matthews otherwise I may have skipped it.

Is Boomer the most unlikeable person in boxing apart from Broner? What a complete tool.

He works hard at being a wanker thats for sure!
He is a decent fella I think, away from it all, or at least he used to be. I remember him on warrior boxing! He was a class act on there, always encouraging younger amateurs.
I'm sure its just an angle to maximise his earnings, and to be fair, its working.

He tends to turn in a knob during the last 2 weeks before the fight, before that i find him ok,having said that i have just re watched him v Stephenson and getting stopped, did make me smile.
