Why the difference between how the 2 are treated? Canelo ducked a genuine 160lb champion who was there, available and willing, to fight a guy who barely cuts to make 147, when others were willing to fight Canelo and he then set it at a fixed weight 5lbs inside the title weight limit in order to try to establish some kind of legitimacy to his desire to fight others at that weight. Golovkin had the contract out on offer to others, including Canelo but none of them wanted it, it was offered to Brook and from the way Hearn and Brook have described it they were trying to make a different fight and it was almost an on the off chance do you fancy this fight type of thing. Just as people said mad but brave about Khan they should be saying mad but brave about Brook. Whereas people said running away about Canelo they should be saying he took the chance to have a fight against a good boxer about Golovkin.

As for Brooks' chances, Murray showed up a lot of what a boxer with skills and a good punch could do, if they can take/avoid the big incoming stuff. The question was did GGG ignore Muray's punching because it wasn't hard enough - by the way did 8lbs suddenly turn Murray into a monster who can shake Abraham right down to his boots (literally)? It is possible Murray was hitting GGG with decent shots and he just doesn't get hurt without a sledgehammer landing? The other question is if Brook can land some decent shots, where his speed and accuracy can add to the power, does GGG get cautious enough to show more boxing skills. This fight could show more of what each has. Brook suposedly spars early training camp as a middle and carries power at the weight. If this doesn't become a quick blow out, which GGGs power can do to anyone especially to the body, we might at least see what the man can do when challenged to a boxing contest.
