He got knocked down in his last fight, by a guy Audley Harrison TKO'd.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Not much of an achievement.Taansend wrote:Oh cheersBitPlayer wrote: Stivern.![]()

I agree that slick/awkward fighters are likely to be Joshua's weakness. Don't really feel like I've seen Hughie out of first or second gear yet so we'll have to wait and see. I hope they make the fight.daviddee wrote:Its just my opinion both are really really good... Savon seems to switch off for periods. Hughie concentrates for full rounds.. I believe Kassi and Rudenko better than anyone Joshua has foughtJ-C wrote:What makes you sure Hughie is a better boxer than Savon?daviddee wrote:Hughie would make Joshua look silly.. Go watch Joshua v Savon at the Olympics... Hughie is bigger and a better boxer than Savon... Yes Joshua has a punchers chance but he has to hit Hughie.. Hughie has faster hands better feet and better ring craft.. Also I hear he has a better chin... Peter knows thats why he wants it.. Hughie is boring compared to Tyson takes no risks reminds me of Wlad with better skills
THE Audley Harrison, or another one?BitPlayer wrote:He got knocked down in his last fight, by a guy Audley Harrison TKO'd.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Not much of an achievement.Taansend wrote:

How about how he struggled to his Breazeale for 7 rounds, who isn't as skilled as ill Hughie.Loynesy wrote:I assume this is trolling?
No one with an ounce of boxing education would think Fury would have less than a 10 per cent chance against Joshua. He's only got a work rate against back foot fighters. He's clumsy, and very crude.
Comparing how AJ did against Savon in the AMS 4 years ago is utterly simplistic.
Suppose if I'm wrong, all the chatterers will be piling on to Hughie at the inevitable 12-1 he'd be.
Isn't Rudenko a come forward banger, who many thought beat Lucas Browne?Loynesy wrote:I assume this is trolling?

Oh no, people disagree with Loynesy. What is the world coming to?Loynesy wrote:I am going to opt out of further comments on this thread. I'm no AJ devotee, but I can't really see any case for Hughie having much of a chance.
Struggled? How? I'm no Riddick level AJ fan boy by any stretch but he won every one of those 7 rounds before the stoppage and pretty much beat the absolute shit out of Breazeale. Bar getting an earlier stoppage, how did he struggle in that fight?BitPlayer wrote:How about how he struggled to his Breazeale for 7 rounds, who isn't as skilled as ill Hughie.Loynesy wrote:I assume this is trolling?

Typo, Breazeale couldn't land, but did make him miss a fair ammount.lefty wrote:Struggled? How? Breazeale is f*cking shite, Lefty. Tough but shite. I saw him against Mansour & thought "What the f*ck".lefty wrote:Struggled? How? Hughie is excellent at the defensive end, but Savon is way better offensively, not to mention he hits much, much harder than Hughie ever dreamed of.daviddee wrote:Hughie would make Joshua look silly.. Saying you think Joshua will win seems equal to "You want to gargle his no doubt humble peen" on some internet outlets, so it's an important disclaimer.ILikeBeer wrote:You think?Stuffs wrote:I'm no Joshua fanboy, but he'd obliterate Hughie I think.![]()
It's hardly a bold prediction is it? And I aint a fanboy either.
Why do you suggest he is not mentally ready? How do you make him to fragile?Ian1973 wrote:I don't think Hughie is mentally ready for this level yet. Yes, he has the technical ability but at the moment he's too fragile. Give him a couple of years and let him mature into himself. There is no rush, he's a kid.
Hughie beats everybody that AJ has beaten...Wales wrote:Putting aside opinion of how good Hughie Fury potentially is, how can a fighter who's not beaten a top 30 (?) HW become a #1 contender?
I'm not as big a AJ fan as many, but on evidence of what I've seen he's operated at a much higher level than Hughie, and defeated better fighters more impressively
Whyte would test him .jaymitch81 wrote:Hughie beats everybody that AJ has beaten...Wales wrote:Putting aside opinion of how good Hughie Fury potentially is, how can a fighter who's not beaten a top 30 (?) HW become a #1 contender?

Yes no doubt but I still expect Hughie to outbox him convincingly. Shame we will never know really.rd350lc wrote:Whyte would test him .jaymitch81 wrote:Hughie beats everybody that AJ has beaten...Wales wrote:Putting aside opinion of how good Hughie Fury potentially is, how can a fighter who's not beaten a top 30 (?)
