Fight Doctor - Ferdie Pacheco was a good quick read. Some interesting back stories. I'm sure most of you have already read it, but if not, pick it up.

About Leon and Michael Spinks really good book halfway through it just now,jerry quarry,ron lyle and George chuvalos books really good also

There's loads of quality boxing books
I liked unforgivable blackness like most
I like the Langford book by Clay?
I liked the Louis v Schmeling one
The one about Dempsey - roaring twenties?
Any of the Donald McRae boxing books
Earlier Hauser books were great.
I also enjoyed Boxing Wastelands by Tris Dixon
Four Kings
The list is quite large.
Boxing has the richest history of good writing of any sport by some distance

Has any one read The Big If: The Life and Death of Johnny Owen? If so, any good?
I noticed it was written by Rick Broadbent who wrote "That Near Death Thing" which is my all time favourite sports book.

Four Kings and Hugh McIllvaney On Boxing are two masterpieces.
Loved the Michael Gomez and Eamonn Magee books. Also enjoyed Aaron Pryor book and Ma Vida Loca.
Dark Trade also up there with anything ever written about the sport.
Halfway through Henry Wharton’s book. Loved the fighter. Have to say book should have been so much more. Very wooden and two dimensional so far. Gutted.
