Just the purse on Quigg and Crolla's last fights would have made him £200k I reckon. To rent a gym space and get the equipment which I reckon he would be given or highly subsidiesed would cost less than £25k....still don't know why he doesn't have his own gym

He doesn't need to he's using Kahn's rent free and Kahn is hardly ever there, he's a good trainer make no mistake he gets his fighters fit and he doesn't take any shit in the gym the fighters have to be on it, Gallagher has been to the top gyms in America and seen how they do it and took note, but as a person he's a first class wank stain

World renowned?

Ring magazine trainer of the year. Has/had a stable of world champions that he nurtured from the start....yes whether you like him or not you have to say he is world class now.
He might have had Hosea Burton from the start but the Smith brothers, Johnson, Cardle and Crolla were all decorated amateurs before Gallagher trained them and Quigg boxed was trained by Brian Hughes.

Go on then know-it-all. What were the seven purses?
I couldn't even start to imagine what Gallagher earns, but if it's over one and a quarter mill a year I'll fall over with shock
Aah, get you Davie. I meant he'd earned over 50k in the last fortnight. On Sky sports podcast they mentioned £1m for Liam Smith's purse. Crolla plus the other 5 purses could have been getting up towards that figure?
In which case I retract my sarcastic comment and apologise unreservedly.

I'd be shocked if he hadn't scooped a fair wedge on recent fights

I guess this is the first year he has earned big, maybe buying a house or something is a bigger priority.

He was kicked out of benchill when he fell out with jimmy Egan I think he was training his won lads in the gym so it was like having a gym in a gym, louvolite he bubbled the owner up to the sponsors of the gym over something, not sure about shannons gym, moss side he was taking the keys without asking, and Betta bodies I think Kerry kayes had enough of him
Taking the keys from who ?

He took the spare keys out the gym from moss side and was using the gym without permission, it didn't go down well
I trained down there from late 90s for a few years but never heard that story.

What a shyster

One would think that they are the people best qualified to judge.

There's a lot of green-eyed-monster floating about here.
Yes, a lot of freaks come out to bash Joe Gallagher and also Eddie Hearn.

Forum has become a bit of a joke. The sniping is bitchy and cowardly, and many have waited for these high profile defeats. Strange that these types seldom come out when other fighters' trainers get a loss.

I think I get it. Many posters hate the establishment and are still "angry young men" rallying against the evil powers that be.

Joe has improved Crolla, who lost to Youssef Al Hamidi then won English, British, and world titles- and also Paul and Stephen Smith, who were ragged, hard to watch fighters holding and cuffing, suddenly knocking guys out with clean shots (Paul v Dodson, Stephen v Buckland).

With Hearn it's the nature of his job. He's going to get criticism it's part and parcel. Gallagher doesn't do himself any favours with his attitude. I've nothing personal against them and don't let them take up too much of my time moaning but I can see why both come in for criticism. I'm sure neither of them give two shìts....

With respect, I disagree and think he is disliked due to personality and attitude. I listen to his interviews and he just comes over as a total cock.

I don't think people actually slag him as a trainer although he does talk shit about tactics and plan A, B, C when all his fighters fight the same way, it's his attitude and he's a arrogant cock

That's perception though I guess, what one man likes another man doesn't etc

I don't actually mind him to be fair

He comes out with some stuff , which does leave himself open for anyone to take the piss ,, Like If we beat Canelo we will be up there for fighting Floyd , A win over Canelo will put us on the serious map , when he should be concentrating on beating Canelo not fighting a retired guy on his comeback ,, which was then followed by , if we survive past the 7th rnd we'll try to knock him out , ha ha yeh really worked did'nt it .

But all that aside , he does have a good stable Ok they are not long term world champs , but they are top of the tree british level , and all will know enough to walk if he is'nt doing his job correctly .. But success breeds success , and the top lads will want to go join a gym and work with other top lads ,, he seems to have attracted his share at this stage ,, lets see if he carrys on producing when this crop who joined him finish .. Bit like did Billy Graham make Hatton or the other way around , or a bit of both
