To date, officiating body ANBF SA Branch & SA's government Combat Sports compliance officer know no more than media reports......which for time being they choose to ignore.
I wouldn't be at all surprised, all smiling tourist, sports & what have you Minister is totally unaware legislation exists re Combat Sports & has so since 2003
What happens in this regard.... i got the impression from a previous post that tickets for the event are already on sale....
What kind of medicals are required?.... all the other arguments aside.... could Mundine require a mri and nuerological assessment due to his recent history of knockdowns?....
Medicals are required every 12 months (throughout Oz). Mundine hasn't fought since Nov 2015 & Green's will most likely expire by Feb. Both will need to undergo MRI, as will all on the card, except guys that are registered in SA, who would've done it when registering. MRI is required every 3 years.

It's a shitt fight in my non-Aussie opinion, regardless of how many people may be there or how much the fighters will make. Green will get 0 credit from me for beating someone who last fought at 154 and was therein dropped 4 times prior to being stopped by a fringe-contender. That will also be 15 months ago come February.
Conversely, Mundine deserves credit for schooling Green when they were each much closer to their peaks; pretty impressive for a guy with virtually no amateur career to toy with Green like that.

Oh but Mundine hung around his dads gym as a kid.

Very much so. It is every bit as much about bragging rights as it is about bank balances.

By the opening bell in Adelaide I would be surprised if anything less than 80% of the anticipated 37,000 crowd aren't cheering for Green and booing Mundine, and there's a very good reason for that. It is something Mundine has bought on himself and most people probably won't have even considered. Anyone smart enough to work out what it is?

Yes because Mundine is hated for who he is,whereas Green is loved for who he is not.

Not the correct reason and it will probably take someone more on the ball than you to come up with it.

Insert Bash for bogan whisperers thoughts on Mundines 9-11 and comments on Gealey's wife.

Wrong again. Leave the answer to someone a bit smarter.

Like it or lump it gents.....the show will be HUGE.
32,000 Adelaide's Centrelink recipients have already requested advance payment so they can attend multi million dollar farce.

Don't crack the sads just because you can't answer the question I raised.
The thread is on everything to do with the Green vs Mundine rematch in Adelaide. Including why the crowd will turn on Mundine on the day.
How do I know that? I started the thread

Sadly it will be big but serious boxing fans aren't interested in this cash out fight. Though the threads about it are amusing with people banging on about how many people will be cheering or booing either fighter as if it matters.

It isn't hard to tell there's a Green - Mundine fight in the pipeline. The media are doing handstands and the forums are going gangbusters.
The national anthem on February 3rd will be of particular interest.

I believe, for bit of controversy and extra bit of publicity, fight will be scheduled over 18x2min, instead of boring old 12x3

The playing of the national anthem in Adelaide is what I was alluding to a couple of days ago.
Mundine has recently been publicly pleading for other sportspeople to sit down during the playing of the Australian national anthem, and thankfully they have all ignored him.
In February, Mundine will be the biggest hypocrite in Australia if he stands for the national anthem, and if he sits down during it, in front of 37,000 people, they will turn on him like no crowd has ever turned on him before. It will be absolute mayhem.

would this fight be getting bagged if these two were making the same as fenech and nelson did for their third fight, or is there just immense jealousy around that these two have been able to conjour up the publicity to earn such a huge amount of money ? As long as the undercard is stacked, regular boxing fans will tune in and if they dont they will still be curious on the result. Before you bang on about weight and recent records I get it.

Spot on. The mock outrage being exhibited by some people whose biggest fear is nothing more than Green balancing the ledger with Mundine and making millions in the process has made for amusing reading.

Don't be fooled by my join up date I have browsed here along time before posting. Your opinions on anything related to Danny Green are blinded by emotion. The jealousy line from a Green lover almost as nauseating as the racism card that Mundine lovers use.
