Edit:
Here we go (towards the bottom)
He was talking like that, but has recently named him as an option. Plus, as I said in the first post, Sky etc seem to be paving the way. Unless Jamie Moore really did suddenly think "You know, I reckon I'll do an opinion piece for Sky Sports about how Pricey would be an acceptable world title challenger".
Yep I think you're spot on. These are the early warning signs that come out from Sky when they're paving the way for this drivel to be accepted - I think it's coming.

He beat a bunch of aged or fat bums, he was the classic Maloney heavyweight fed a diet of bums for 10-12 fights to gain some easy KOs and some Sky hype. Is he even much better than Tom Dallas nowadays?
It's fair to say he punches harder than Dillian Whyte. He doesn't need world class power to hurt AJ. He will be the bigger puncher AJ has faced. Whether we think he's rubbish or not.
That's all well and good but if he's too cautious to let his hands go- it wouldn't matter if he was a heavyweight incarnation of Julian Jackson.

I genuinely dont think price was any good to begin with. Not on the world scene anyway. Theirs a perception that tt shattered his confidence. But price was never confident to begin with. Always lacked it.
Even in fights he won he always looked like he lacked belief in himself. Hes went back slightly from thompson but not in the way many believe. His power will knock out domestic level fighters but after that he was always going to struggle. Except for his power and his height/reach which he doesnt really use. He doesnt have anything else going for him infact everything else is a liability. Hate being harsh on price cause i like the guy. Just saying what i m seeing. It is watching his fights back in hindsight tbf to him. Didnt really see much of him till the thompson fight but went back and watched a few of his previous fights since...including his debut.
I m aware of prices stamina issues...i still say they should turn him into a four round fighter. Get him able to fight at pace for how many rounds he can. Dont let him think...it causes him more problems than he needs. 4 rounds of high tempo work throwing bombs from the off...get him fast/sharp. He ll finish more than he doesnt. Forget all these fancy moves for price. Hes always gonna be a standard boxer. Get him doing sprints. Fast combo padwork. Etc etc. Get that heart rate going. Pretty similar to how big joshua trains.
They ve done the opposite with him since thompson. Trying to get him thinking in their. Putting weight on him to hold a better shot etc. It just makes him easier to hit and left him to slow to be effective against anyone of note.
Tbh if it was a straight decision between molina and price i d probably opt for the price fight with joshua. Molinas just gonna end up like martin and breazeale. He ll take his licks then go home with little ambition of actually winning. You d like to think with price being british fighting infront of the british public it would mean a bit more to him.

You another one after a job at Sky? With talk like that you'll definitely get an interview.
Not at all at no point have I said Pricey deserves a world title shot or that a Price Vs AJ fight should be PPV, I do like Pricey though so don't get the hate towards him what's he meant to do turn the offer down if it comes and say no I don't deserve it?! obviously he would be an underdog as people have stated but I do not doubt he is more than capable of knocking AJ out

It's gonna happen. The fight itself is abysmal, but what's worse is that the Matchroom bullshit machine is gonna go into full force to justify this shocker. Arrrrrrrggh

He's not supposed to demand something he has no right to be given like he's entitled to it, which is what he's been doing the last few months. It's another form of 'I WANT ICE CREAAAAAAAM'.

Guess we should have seen the signs when he was miraculously ranked with the IBF recently
I agree with the man above who says Price calling for a "deserved" shot just makes him even less deserving. Wasn't he dismissing other potential opponenets too? Opponenets who have better wins in their record then he does...
Can't blame him for taking the fight obviously but it's al one big stitch up. Eff matchrom

Price never beaten by a clean man...
Then he goes and fights AJ

There's more to it perhaps...
Price never beaten by a clean man
Puts on two stone of muscle in a short amount of time
Goes and fights Joshua!

Would be totally laughable.
It's now over 4 years since his career best win over shopworn Audley Harrison, and considering Price is terrified to throw punches and sports an 0-3 (3) record above domestic level, the 'he could KO anyone' stuff doesn't cut it as a justification for this type of fight.

His interviews after the Thompson loses screamed total lack of confidence. He practically said he thought Pulev would do him after sparring him previously. He looked like one of the most surprised people in the arena when he banged audley out, considering how he was celebrating. He had a chance to fight Wlad before the TT fights. He could have pushed for it but didn't have the confidence. Looked like a deer in the headlights that time he went over to commentate for one of Wlads big stadium fights

Six weeks till fight night, Price vs Joshua is a decent contest.
At least someone is fighting someone in the HW division!
Stack it, pack it and bring it on!

Matchroom like to drop a really bad name in the mix (price).... Then match with someone half a level above (Molina)
Joshua was always gonna fight a bum... It's cheaper .. Still sells and the gravy train doesn't end
Glad I didn't get dragged into the previious bs iro good opponents

He doesn't deserve it but if Pricey got a shot for a 'real' belt against Wilder, Martin (in the same shoes AJ did) or Chageav before the Browne debacle, we'd all be behind him to bring it home. Sayin that, I would'nt pay for it! I rekon we are all pinnin hopes on AJ and want him to be properly stepped up before he gets hit.

I'd root for all of those guys against Price and I've lived in the UK all of my life.

Is 6 weeks long enough to put together a card that we'd be willing to pay for?
I'd expect some really big fights to pay for this

Don't forget that as well as lasting rounds and rocking Wilder he also Ko'd the husk of Adamek in his last fight. Both would go down well on the highlight reel.
For these reasons and the opportunity for comparison with Wilder's performance I prefer the 'drummer boy'.

I think it's been nailed on for a long time, the talk of a Klit fight was exciting but i never really believed that would happen at such short notice.

I don't get why people are so against it. Price has a chance with his power. It would be good to see him starched by Joshua also. It's a fight that's guaranteed to end in a KO for someone

Okay, here's a question. Just over 6 weeks until fight night, who would you realistically pick for Joshua to fight at this late stage?
I get it, Price is completely outmatched against Joshua, it won't last very long, and I most certainly will not be paying to watch it. But who else is there at the moment?

Haye would jump at the chance as is always in shape these days. Fast Eddie wont risk it though I wouldn't have thought, as there is a realistic chance Haye might hit him
