Well firstly nobody is suggesting that Brook would make those demands against Pacquiao, and Khan is not Pacquiao. Secondly, Pacquiao wouldn't ask for a %, he'd ask for a purse, and the other guy can have the rest. Unfortunately the purse will be something like 5 million.
Best he will get there is 60/40 and the fight in the uk which is nowhere near as big as the Khan fight... After that Brook has nowhere to go?? Hearn said it yesterday up to 154 to fight an eliminator, How much will he get for that £300,000?? Then one of the light middleweight champs apart from Canelo which he won't get where is the money fight.... 30% of £30 million is a lot more than 50% of £1-2 million.. Khan has 6 or 7 fights that can make very good money.
I don't understand, Brook would have no options, but Khan would have 6-7? What more lucrative or at least equal with a 50-60% split of the monies earned against Brook, would Khan have available to him? 50% would easily surpass the monies he earned against Canelo. Tell me what options Khan has which pays him a fraction of the money he earns against Brook?
The reason Brook would go to 154 is because he struggles to make the weight at 147. He'd have to take a step back to take two forward. It's inevitable to happen anyway. Brook is not looking at ending his career at Khan, Khan probably is. Khan wants the one final big pay day, and then call it a day. He identifies that Brook is the one to give him that, but also identifies that Brook wants this fight thinking they'll eventually concede. Khan doesn't make this fight, I think it's conceivable that he doesn't earn the same amount of money, even if he take 2-3 fights more.

Khan got splattered by Canelo. Khan has had 5 fights in 4 years. Khan has no fanbase. Khan does not have an endless list of options.

I would suggest they actually need EACH OTHER. The fight is an anticipated UK fight, a big deal on these shores that they can promote like mad and get on PPV. Neither has another fight that can really do that for them, unless they pull a massive rabbit out of a hat e.g. Pacman/Mayweather or some huge name. They both need to grow up, put their egos aside and make this fight happen.

He beats Khan his profile will pretty much double.. People use the point he put up a good fight against GGG... Murray put up a better fight than him and his me is not a big name.. Khan looked better against Canelo than Brook did v GGG
Spence is mandatory so purse bids stipulate the champ (Brook) gets 75% of the purse. It puts Brook in a very strong negotiation position.

Strange opinion with who both have been in with in their careers. Khan won his title and started fighting the top contenders at the time, Brook after he won fought....oh we're still waiting.

Khan can fight Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Broner, Bradley, Would also be a bigger fight Khan v Spence Jnr than Brook.. Khan can also fight Berto or Molina and take in more than £1 million.. Khan is already very very rich.. Most fights available to Brook will struggle to warm him about £500k.. No way will Eddie risk his PPV model on the other fights available to Brook.. A lot of people don't like Khan but everyone knows who he is... A lot of Americans don't know who Brook is.. Hardly any of the fighters knew who he was before he got his face caved in by GGG..Facts are Brook needs the money and Khan doesn't.. Let's be honest Pacquiao v Brook is a very hard sell..

Would do less than Brook v GGG.. If the fight was in UK wouldn't be huge in the USA and same vice Versa... only in the UK does Brook have any kind of profile and even at that it's not huge..

Some fighters don't need a good opposition to sell arena's out. Manny Pacquiao is one of them fighters. Plus the GGG fight, which while it lasted was entertaining, is still fresh in the minds of the fans. There will be no problem selling that fight.

You can throw Mayweather in with them has well ,, Because non of them will happen ,
Brooks problem is If he does'nt fight Khan, he has to fight Spence , it will go to purse bids and Eddie will probably lose He does'nt seem to like to splash the money around .. The fight would be in the states and his 75% would be 75% of bugger all
Other option vacate and look for a title at 154 , with a promoter who won't spend the money its back to the begining .

Most mandatories are 60!40, but I can't keep up with all the orgs. I wouldn't expect haymon to win a purse bid, they're counting pennies at pbc. Spence will happily cross the pond.

Forget these two, their greed and posturing and their pathetic Twitter war.
And we've been here a decade ago with Hatton and Witter.
With them coming down from middleweight KO defeats the fight isn't hot anymore.
Plenty other good fighters in Britain and some might even fight each other.

Manny Pacquiao is the biggest active name in boxing right now on a global scale.
Brook V Pac Man does massive numbers in the UK. PPV would do massive numbers.

Maybe they really are negotiating. Or maybe Brook should just move forward. It's getting to the point that he has no identity of his own, relying so much presence of another fighter. And here's the thing, Khan isn't great anyway. He's just a chinny, flashy amateur stylist who feasted on super featherweight opponents for a considerable part of his career.
We know Kell is better than this, given the Porter victory away from home. But now his achievement has been equalled by his welterweight peers, Thurman having done the same recently. With Kell's injuries and his rubbish IBF mandstories so much time has been wasted. It's a real shame injury prevented him from fighting a decent voluntary, Chaves. He was never injured when lined up to face for poor IBF fodder and he's starting to look complicit in stalling his own career.
Getting fed up of "All of the Lights" Kell - what the f uck is that supposed to mean, in a boxing context anyway. That fight with Golovkin was tragically misjudged, coming in the bigger man, letting Golovkin work him over two minutes then fighting at the end of the round in a few flashy bursts, and the corner was ready to pull him out any time, and the body language of Kell, holding the ropes, touching his eye, screamed get me out of here. That fight was pure greed, a terrible, terrible spectacle, a true waste of a stage, and IMO of Golovkins time, not being even allowed to finish his prey off. That fight wouldn't have happened if Khan would've just fought Kell, or if Eubank Jr had people around him who can negotiate. Last year was mostly positive for British boxing but Khan, Kell and Eubanks Jr all dropped a bollock that year.

It's all posturing from both sides.
Brook knows Khan will never take the offer. It's to make Brook look the big man, for people who read tabloids.
And Khan knows Brook probably can't fight him anyway, with Brook lined up to fight Spence, his mandatory.
Have to say I'm getting cynical. If the fight gets signed, Brook probably gets injured, either pulling out or carrying an injury in the fight that may affect the outcome. And if that doesn't happen, Khan will prob all give him the bum's rush and "win" via headbutt TKO.
