Cruz legit winner.
Early it looked like Frampton had him on the inside.
Cruz showed a lot of bottle and although had moments of coming up short with his punches and swinging wild and grazing fought himself into the fight and showed that he wanted it more.
Framptons timing in the 2nd half of the fight was terrible, he seemed to just rely on head hunting or taking too much time to build a sustained attack.
Anyways Cruz win looks clean, congrats to Leo.

The 3rd fight should definitely be in Miami. Nowhere else makes sense.
In MIAMI ?!

Great fight. Santa Cruz edged it, no problem with the scorecards on this one though I am slightly surprised one judge had it even.

Bring on the third fight.

Why did he win it for this though? Thought it was WBA?

:salut: to Frampton. Great class.

I thought this was a beautiful job by LSC. He did what nobody thought that he could do - out box Frampton. Carl fell in love with his power and looked slower than I have ever seen him.

ROBBERY! :oo

OMFG! A fight that could have gone even ther way has to be proclaimed as a ROBBERY!

Just kidding, based on recent fights where there was no clear cut winner, every mütherfücker screams ROBBERY when this was clearly not the case.

So I thought I'd be to first fûckîng moron to scream some sort of fùckïng ludicrous obscenity that bears no relation to the fight that actually took place, because every fûckèr is allowed to do it so why can't I?

For the record, there was no ROBBERY, but it's fun to take the fûckîng pïss out of those pour unfortunate souls that dare to have the audacity to make such a fûckíng daft claim!

I want to go

Plus it's roughly halfway between Belfast & Cali.

And I'm selfish.

No. There's been a lot of competitive fights recently where the either fighter could have been deemed a winner.

However, this didn't stop people boldly proclaiming ROBBERY, so I thought I'd make a preemptive strike by mocking any such claims for this fight before they happen.

I thought I'd made this clear, but I forgot that people don't read entire posts, instead they only digest the first few words and then attack accordingly.

Probably forgot to take his pills. ... and if they gave it to Frampton, it would be a robbery.

So Santa Cruz is not one dimensional.

Frampton went head hunting and put too much juice on his shots. Didn't do great at cutting off the ring. Maybe that young trainer put to much emphasise on power or Frampton himself really wanted to knockout. Still, they both showed class. I'd watch a third one.

1st round was a beaut.
Frampton looked very strong during the first four or so rounds and it struck me that he knew what it took to go through Cruz, he then laid off but laid off enough for Cruz to mount a comeback and build some momentum and Cruz did just that and more.
Don't get me wrong there's an argument Cruz did ok during one or two of the early rounds but he didn't really step it up until the second half of the fight.
The Cruz jab although not necessarily a potent weapon throughout came in handy as the bout progressed.
Frampton's square on up in your face inside style became less effective as we went on, Cruz learned to parry punches, ride with the rallies and jab his way along the further it went.
Quality of the contest was high no doubt about it, it was a good fight and a just winner.

Yes, a third is inevitable. It was a good, entertaining fight. Watching Mikey operate is always worthwhile.

I had the opposite view. To me LSC was in control and it was Frampton who had to make the comeback to get into the fight. I feel that I gave Frampton the majority of the close rounds.

Carl had no answer for LSC's boxing. I had 115-113. If anything it was wider, not closer, imo.

Frampton was also too theatrical (a-la Eubank Jr) in the first two rounds and gave them to Santa Cruz. He never caught up after that. Maybe those were signs of star disease.

If you have given Frampton the majority of the rounds and I feel it's fair to say there were no 10-8's in there how do you have Leo a winner ?
Is that a typo ?
