First place gets 10 points, tenth place gets 1 point - and everything fits in between.

- I would not rate Manny in the feathers after I rated him in the welts and lightweights, but as you inform us, let the wisdom of the crowd decide these matters. OK then, the wisdom of the largest crowd to ever participate in ranking boxers, some 500,000, decided Manny was the #1 featherweight and #2 P4P behind SRRobby, so here we go again. Let the moaning commence.

Oh, and BTW, your model introduces an unnecessary reverse conversion of the numbers that increases the chance for errors, but maybe you are of the new math generation that need extra complexity to stay on task. The lists we provide are already numerically ordered in the standard fashion, so just add up the scores like a round of golf, and bingo, low score wins...perhaps too simples for overly complex designed brains doomed to extra swings to pad out their golf scores, but hey, ho, neither golf or boxing could thrive without honest hackers aerating the courses and boxing hacks fertilizing social media. It's all in good fun and your intentions are honourable.

Overview:

Willie Pep was voted Number One 13 times (with 1 tie).
Salvador Sanchez was voted Number One 2 times.
Sandy Saddler was voted Number One 2 times (with 1 tie).
Alexis Arguello was voted Number One 1 time.
Manny Pacquaio was voted Number One 1 time.

I noticed as lower weight classes that are sometimes unusual list.
Too bad some results looked beyond these categories and did list the results of SFW. I said I do not make sense because this is the FW and 126 Lb!

Arguello is say really too high for 126Lb,Armstrong also, Pacquaio as the first one on the list is probably the biggest surprise.
I think the two lists Saddler was not among the first 10 of which sounds impossible.It has cost him a better position likely.

Salvador Sanchez was highly respected as reasonably sure. Saldivar and Pedrosa I expect that both of them will have more points.

Again, we know already that we do not see all the same criteria we already makes it difficult, or at least should see only the same category FW.

Perhaps we should and junior classes to the list, it would be clearer.

Very disappointing about the great Vicente Saldivar. We should have had a closer look. To me, a top ten featherweight of all-time.

I too was disappointed Saldivar wasn't higher. People need to watch him in action; he was something special.

We reviewed his fights with Howard Winstone in these threads. I really enjoyed both. Howard boxed well and for the early rounds was able to have success against Vicente. But the little man would not be denied and was like a force of nature at times.
But a conclusion we did draw, was that although he was a persistent aggressive fighter, his boxing skills were under rated and he was a very fluid natural boxer who slipped and counter punched to take away one of the best jabs in the business
