I'd be confident of sparking Bellew, and I'm 44..Haye 1-3, easy nights work.

Bellew is a world class fighter and doesn't deserve the vile abuse that he's getting in this thread.

Bellew is outmatched for speed and all round boxing ability. Not only that but he probably hasn't even got as much stamina as Haye either.

Not sure about that last one. Haye's stamina hasn't really been questioned in a long time, in the fight with Wlad he did so little that he was never going to empty the tank, and most of his other recent fights have been very short.

I don't believe those punch stats.
I do. I remember watching it back and he landed a single jab.

I'm thinking 2 or 3 as well. Unless David is just toying with him, but I expect Bellew will be coming at Haye hard which will make Haye unload on him with some serious bombs early.

Don't think Bellew will come for him in round 1. That would be suicidal.

He's definitely pulling a McKenzie 2 in this one I reckon. Whether that's enough is the question. He's going to be terrified of getting hit here.

All the bluster aside, Bellew knows that if Haye lands a power shot flush, he's going to be in big trouble, all the talk in the world doesn't change that.

I am tempted to lump some money on rounds 2 and 3, as I think Haye will take a round to get his timing, and Bellew won't engage.

Yeah, thing is Haye's game is making the opponent afraid of getting countered. Booth used to always say in the corner make him terrified of throwing that jab.

Yes, Haye likes to stalk for the first round, throw a few feints in and generally just try and dictate the pace. I'd say Bellew's best chance would be to double and triple the jab, and take the first round, keep it simple, but I'm not sure his footwork is good enough to pull that off without walking into something earlier.

When you're in with someone who has a huge edge in power, and who is of equal ability, you either have to have a fantastic chin, or a great defence to pull off the win, Bellew doesn't have either unfortunately.

Stranger things have happened, but I just can't see it unless Haye's shoulder goes.

What's the odds on a Haye ko between rounds 1-3? Presumably terrible?

wow, really, 2 horse race and they aren't even taking bets?

a damning indictment of the matchmaking, surely?

Looks Paddy Power has 8/1 in round 1 and 6/1 in both rounds 2 & 3...

Not on the first 3 round betting group they aren't. Only 1 bookmaker is offering odds.

Quite torn between the two options and trying to get in Haye's mind...

Blast Bellew out early because of the animosity.

Take him 7-8, maybe more rounds to make more of a spectacle of it. Haye's got the promotional aspect to consider too, and would no doubt want to be a) on screen as much as possible and b) pretend it's an even-ish fight.

Option C of the above, he wants to brutalise Bellew for as long as possible.

Straight up boxer vs boxer, Haye should get things done early, but I don't know for sure he "wants" to.

as end game is a AJ fight

a labouring win wont get the public on side for a fight

a demolition job will

Those of you speculating on whether Haye's gonna carry Bellew to make a show of it should be careful with your money. In his pomp Haye could've done whatever he liked with the overmatched scouse chump

But Haye's a part time boxer who's barely fought in 4 years. He can't trust his body anymore and he certainly can't trust his stamina. He'll get the dopey Bellew out of there as quickly as he can and hopefully buy 1000 copies of The Sun to celebrate.
