Golovkin is the stronger but i'd say Jacobs is the harder puncher but i don't think this fight is about who's strongest or hits hardest, its about which guy can take the other guys strength or power and Golovkin wins it there for me
Still i wouldn't advise anyone to let Daniel Jacobs hit them, murderous puncher and i reckon Golovkin will box the Lemieux approach by being patient and break him down, Lemieux seemed to try to outbox Golovkin which isn't really his style but Jacobs though can box and is comfortable fighting that way, he's quick, fluid and has a good jab and has more dimensions than Lemieux
Jacobs chins always a worry though and if Golovkin tags him early then it could be a quick night

I disagree that Jacobs is the bigger puncher.
A large majority of his stoppages are over very weak opponents, and when he's faced decent opposition the stoppages haven't come as easily. Ishe Smith and Pirog walked through his shots, Truax went into the 12th, More kept getting up, and Fletcher is as frail as they come at top level. In fact, looking at his record reminds me that he's only beaten one top ten opponent, and I think the Quillin blowout made him seem like a bigger puncher than he is.
In my opinion Jacobs overwhelms with speed (especially those rapid fire combos) just as much as power.

Yeah there were some excellent contenders on his way up.

Both guys can bang for sure, Golovkin is more of a thudding wrecking ball type of puncher whereas Jacobs is the snappier

He was #1 contender for years. Very slick boxer/puncher, no weaknesses at all.

Yes Marvin cleaned up the middleweight division even before he was finally given a title shot, beating guys much much better than anyone GGG has yet to face truth be told, bad Bennie Brisco, willie the worm munroe, Cyclone Hart, bobby boogaloo Watts, sugar Ray seales and many more, the hardest meanest bastards you could wish to lay your eyes on.
GGG's record in comparison borders on the novice.

This debate actually ignites probably my favourite non achievable of all time - GGG v Hagler. Sports nutrition wasn't as good in the mid 80s as it is now, but both have the right height and build to have always have been career middleweights.

Just noticed young Scottish heavyweight prospect Jay McFarlane is on this bill as well in only his third fight.
Andy Lees comeback fight also

Ive never even heard of this guy, 19 years old? Superb gig for the lad, any idea how this came about mate??
Was beaten pretty handily from
The American journeyman, badly out of shape and little or no boxing skills

I switched on the live link as both were awaiting the decision, the commentators or Boxing Prospect seemed less than impressed

Was really bad mate , the MGM Scotland head boss Sam kyncoh was in the corner surely he would know the Ladner can't box and is out of shape before he took him half way over the world , madness

There are two way this can go depending on Jacobs chinn. If it is poor then fight will end early. If Jacobs has a good chin fight will end somewhere in late rounds, Jacobs might even be able to last a distance.
It seems Jacobs missed the weigh in this morning and therefore will not contest IBF belt. Very strange, he must be huge.

worth staying up just for that round alone. this fight is shaping up to be a great one. only trouble for me is i would have to watch it in slow motion to see properly half of what gonzalez is doing .

Inoue beats Gonzalez for me. Great offensive fighter but defensively open.

Chocolatito is as heavy as he can go. Not got the power at that weight and he can't keep fighting like this and getting away with it, he's going to meet someone too strong or with better fitness that won't be overwhelmed
